In 1911, industrialist William “Billy” Durant partnered with Swiss-born racecar driver Louis Chevrolet to build automobiles in Detroit. Who knew that one hundred years later, their journey would take the name Chevrolet to more than 140 countries and sell over 209 million vehicles bearing the “bowtie” emblem around the globe. Today, as the bow tie brand celebrates it centennial, let's all look back at Chevrolet's one hundred year voyage.
