November 20th, 2009 12:24 PM #41I've heard that the AT equipped i10s get less than ideal fuel consumption, that's to be expected though, with ATs, especially those ATs which aren't computer controlled. As for the manual i10s, fuel consumption is reportedly frugal according to many once the engine is broken in (5000 kms?) and you don't have a lead foot. :-)

November 20th, 2009 12:42 PM #42How much are you selling it for? :-)
Depreciation...the bane of all new car buyers. It's a given...like death and taxes. But you have to admit:
- nothing beats "new car smell" for lifting your mood...(actually some others smells do, but let's not get into that...:-p)
- being the car nuts that we are, we all ought to be entitled to buy at least one new car in our lifetime...the more the merrier...if we can afford it. :-)

i agree with you 100%...it has been really painful but nothing really beats owning your first brand spanking new car!!!

here's my ad...may swerte yan, blessed by 2 Buddhist monk and a Catholic priest hahaha baka kayo naman ang susunod na pupuntang Singapore!
id rather consider a used korean than a QQ...but a used japanese car may be more desirable...
one big thing to consider is the market value of the QQ,mabilis ba mabenta,etc...
also, the interior felt cheap as well as all the little things that matter...holding the steering wheel felt like touching a plastic basin from divisoria. this is one reason why i didnt buy the QQ 2 years ago...and chinese cars doesnt seem to improve on this thing yet...

And note... in our time with the i10 1.1 AT, we got consumption similar to the QQ 1.1 MT... which is lighter, has lighter wheels and a manual transmission.
Depende talaga sa situation yun. It might just be that the transmission gets too hot in traffic, causing poor economy (yes, it can and does happen to a lot of ATs... who here has had an EFI 1.6 AT that got 6 km/l in traffic? (raises hand)).

Maybe it's the extra power or new emissions equipment? When we tested the 1.1, we got decent economy, actually. Better than the QQ or the Benni. Still a far cry from the Alto... but the Alto is a featherweight with an engine that's just 2/3rds the size.

September 3rd, 2010 07:34 PM #50we used to replace our own wheel bearings back in the 70s. we would use a 2 x 2 width piece of wood, 6 to 9 inches long or so, in lieu of the machine press. easy but messy. today, many will just bring it to the machine shop and pay several hundreds of kesos for the press-out press-in service.
bringing it to the casa is probably the easier but more expensive option.
I think it's a rebrand. HiLife became FLO, HiLife Pro became PRO.
