May 8th, 2008 12:49 AM #1155Me and my wife test drove the QQ last Saturday at Fort Bonifacio. We initially drove the QQ 308 AMT. It went well on flat surfaces but we noticed that the car has low RPM and the response is a bit slow when you are starting from stop. We proceeded to the Ford Showroom where we tried to go up the ramps to see how it will perform. We were shocked that the car didn't have enough power to go up the 3rd ramp which connects the 5th to the 7th level. In fact, we had to go back down in reverse since the car won't move up anymore in mid way. After which we tried the QQ 311, the engine is definitely more powerful. I stopped the car mid way along the 3rd ramp to see if it has enough power to bring us all the way up and it performed well. The ride was quite good; no unnecessary noises. But again it's a new car so we really can't tell much of its performance and durability in just a few minutes of test drive.

May 9th, 2008 04:41 PM #1159Hi everyone! Me and my wife have been following this thread for quite some time and we really appreciate the things that we learned from the numerous comments, insights, experiences, hearsays and, of course, facts. I can say that our decision to buy a QQ came not from our agent but from all the information that we've gathered from the internet, and much of it came from this thread. We are an average family of three (our daughter is turning 7 on July) living in Antipolo and both of us (me and my wife) are working in Makati. We used to have a 1983 Toyota Corona DX and we sold it just recently because we are having a hard time with gas consumption and maintenance.
So we got a QQ308AMT last month and all I can say is - I'm satisfied and we (my family) enjoy it a lot. My wife who has never driven before can now drive from Antipolo to Makati and back! Our average gas consumption is around P1400 (we fill the tank every Monday morning before going to work) a week for 350 kms. average which includes our weekend strolls. The ride is comfortable and the space is enough for us and two extra passengers. My keyboard (Korg X5) even fits the rear compartment perfectly! Durability is still a question though, but I guess that depends on how we take care of the unit.
The sad part is... we are not happy with our agent. We feel that they do not give us the treatment we deserve. For example, our car is more than 5 weeks old and it still doesn't have registration plates. Making follow-ups is even harder. Persons in charge are always not around. And, if anyone here can help us, it will be highly appreciated. The Iseway staff are not Chinese, and I hope they do justice to the product they sell even if they think its inferior... or at least patch-up the one 'feature' where they have control - good customer service.

Still a good buy if comfort and timeless looks matter to you. The monocoque chassis rides smoother...
2017 Pajero BK, still a good buy?
