Chinese company pa. Trust me, di papalugi yan. Napaka mura ng mga yan pero I'm 100% sure na ang tubo dyan ay malaki.

I think 5 years is so optimistic, anu na ba ngayon? 2008? Kelan ba nagstart mag tinda ang Hyundai dito 1990/1991? The company had 17-18 years in the building of a good reputation here. Chery can't just do that in 5 years. Although their products look good, I feel like something is missing. And though Hyundai, had its first good effort with Starex at age 6 (1997), it was of LEGIT joint venture with Mitsubishi to share its L400 platform with Hyundai to produce the Starex.

nung minsan napanood ko ung ilang crash test na ginawa sa mga chinese cars like chery cars. quite shocked with what happened. (ex. the chery qq, may air bag nga kaso ung steering wheel tumama pa rin sa dummy at umangat pa from the dashboard! the dummy had to be disassembled to be removed from the car
). napanood ko naman ung mga video from cncap (similar to euroncap but only china version) pero quite questionable pa rin ung results dahil nga syempre sa mother country nila un. nagkakaproblema din ang chinese car companies na makapasok sa U.S. and Europe dahil bumabagsak ung mga cars nila sa safety standards doon. eh paano pa kaya tayo na walang car safety institution? would we be getting unsafe cars? i'm not bashing chinese car companies. i'm just hoping that these companies would put to primary concern true car safety (and quality), which can only be fully achieved through a thorough R&D. para na rin mas tangkilikin ung mga cars nila, and their customers are getting REAL value.
there's more to a product than sheer profit.

About crash tests...
At least Cherry is doing some R&D about that and for sure, they've learned a lot from it. I also believe that those crash tested vehicles are not for public consumption but for internal R&D so that the final product is improved and much safer (hey, who wants to sued for damages for 100million bucks?!).

i won't buy any of those china cars. mapa-food products, clothing, electronics.. masyado profit ang iniisip ng mga yan. how can you be so sure that those line ups being sold now are the much improved versions.. i found one sa youtube sa news nila total wreck yung chery brand na car.

I really hope that you're right there. Some companies kasi they don't improve their products when no institution is monitoring them, or no law about it is implemented on a certain country para makatipid.
. unless a company has a good reputation, it wouldn't dare sell something that would cause its downfall.
going back to the cars...
....there's only one way to find out if its really crash-safe.
joke. hehehe.

what differentiates a poorly chinese product from a high-quality one is strict quality control.

pag pumasa sa US/EURO standards ang Cherry siguro magkakaron ng 1% sa isip ko na bumili nito.
