    ^^ ahhah! tama! pero if may disiplina ka and you're not really obsessed with having those gadgets, SG is a fine city (as in literal fines hehe). Hope you get a good offer para you still have enough take home pay, otherwise, as what everyone said., cost of living there is high.

    I agree. It's a two edged sword so for you to earn and save, you really have to resist the urge to spend and keep up. My cousin did exactly that and she eventually got the money she needed to have her wedding and do her MBA in England through her job earnings in SG. However, i also know of some people who went there and went back the same way... nagastos din lahat.

    from your list, TS's job as a firmware engr. fetches S$3K -5K max.
    pero depende pa rin sa company yan.

    yung singtel kuripot yan. yung mga engrs nila (locals), tumanda na dyan, nasa S$3000 lang.
    that was 2006 though. ewan ko na ngayon.

    Maraming salamat Sir Chua, Yebo, Ry, Renzo, Chunky, Prince, Ninja, Vinj sa mga payo ninyo. Yung current offer ko sa Malaysia about SGD 3850 starting offer. Gusto ko sana inego pataas kasi isasama ko ang wife ko at doon kami titira dalawa.

    May maipapayo ba kayo additonal leverage sa nego? Ang naiisip ko palang ay housing, basic utilities, insurance, transpo, profit sharing, at retirement package. So far ang alam ko pa lang pag non-resident ka 27% ang income tax mo from the first Ringgit.

    Nag hihigpit na rin ang SG ngayon not unlike before na maluwag sila sa mga foreign workers. May bracket ang salary ng SG they call it employment pass.

    Update: Hindi natuloy ang mga recent offers ko. Maybe dahil sa second recession I think. May bago ako offers. Sino may experience sa companies na Mindtek and UST Global?

    ang pansin ko lang sa UST Global dito sa philippines dapat naka long sleeves ka at tie. walang wash day. hehehe
