Sa piggery ang basic na gamit ay isang Hammermill at isang mixer.

From that two equipments you will grow as your demand for feeds grow.

Just wanna know how much would be the required capital to start with 20 sow plus building/equipment cost.

based on experience...

bldg+ equipt... around 300k

20 sows * 8500 each + 1000 monthly feeds per sow for 12 to 18 mo. assuming ready to breed na mga sow

naka roll kami after 2 years...

for forrowing pens, buy a pipe bender and welding machine para makatipid

correction: gilts pala di sows...

eventually replaced non-performing gilts, and sows na mababa production.. ended up buying from a breeder in mindanao, 10+1 ang offer with warranty (yep! pag di nabuntis pwede ka bigyan ng replacement) at a cost of 16k each...

and getting 2 boars is important... mahirap mag pa-AI sa labas, (that's poor bio-security) and wala sa tamang oras ang dating ng AI technician, (ie lagpas na sa heat ang gilt/sow, resulting to below than average no. of piglets).

Interesado rin ako sa kinahinatnan ng babuyan ni kupaloids. At may lugar ako sa SJDM, Bulacan na dati kong nilagyan ng 30 sow level piggery. Gusto ko sanang buhayin uli kaya lang wala na lang oras.

kasi maganda ang presyo kahit na mahal din ang pakain at gamot

pero laganap ang mga sakit sa baboy kaya doble ingat lang
