I don't pay for shipping as well. Scheduled naman sale ng shopee, every pay day and same day and month (8.8, 9.9, 10.10 etc) Rare times that I paid for shipping because I really needed the item, I'd offset it with coins. I refuse to spend on shipping din, kung ganun din sa store na lang ako bibili.
I don't like Shopee, they accused me of voucher abuse and banned my account dati I don't have much choice lang but to use it because of the convenience.

This payday sale wala ng free shipping talaga, it's just a small portion of the sf, kahit 12-2am pa. They are slowly weaning people off free sf. But then most often mas mura sila ngayon kay Shopee, mabilis pa ang shipping.

meron pa din freeshipping. Nakabili ako two seperate vendor. After 2am and 5pm.
Yung 60pesos free shipping eh 19pesos yun
Basta pag 60 nakasulat madaya dahil 19pesos yun.

Naungusan na ni Laz si Shopee. In terms of shipping vouchers and discounts, pwde pareho kay Laz; while, kay Shopee either shipping voucher lang or discounts. Also, ang shipping voucher ni Shopee, may 50% (of the P38) lang, at meron din naman 100% of the P38/P45, tyaga-in lang sa pag-compare ng discounts bago mag-checkout. In terms of charges to sellers, mas mataas na si Shopee kaya mas mataas na rin ang presyo compared sa Laz, generally. Just today, Shopee introduced a new commission/charge to sellers.

the singaporean company that owns shopee (Sea) is losing money
they sacrificed profitability for expansion and now it's coming back to haunt them
they don't have unli cash to burn they cannot sustain what they did before
while lazada is owned by alibaba dami pera yan
all lazada has to do is maintain cruise control shopee can't keep up in the long run

Then, after some time, nagsimulang mag-charge si Shopee sa sellers. Every now and then, may bagong charges, iba-iba lang ng pangalan. While, sa Laz, nagbuo sila ng Cooperative para mag-handle ng mga local/SME/non-corporate sellers..game changer ‘to sa mga maliliit na sellers. Fast forward, charges ni Shopee sa sellers nasa 10-11%, while si Laz nasa 6%+-., this is for sellers availing of basic subsidized shipping, coins/discounts offer, etc. Kung ang kita ni seller ay absolute amount (in contrast to certain %) on top sa sales price, kakainin lang ng charges ni Shopee, particularly sa items na relatively mataas ang presyo.
With Alibaba being the parent, mas maganda pa ang support sa sellers, in terms of store decorations, etc.

naalala ko when shopee started in PH they were more like OLX/carousell or FB marketplace where any individual can be a seller
just create an account seller ka na
then they became more like lazada where sellers need to submit documents
