mas okay nga ang sariling set-up and not wireless (kaso kung sa manila kayo, pangit ang pldt dsl most of the time)....dito sa probinsya okay ang pldt dsl ko kasi....mabilis and laging connected at seldom lang mag-drop.

-mas mataas ang specs ng pc na mabubuo mo for the same price

Thats true, yung competitor ng pldt has more stability sa internet connection. badtrip yan wireless nila, even sa province minsan alang connection and limited ang browsing, di mo pa ma-open ang ibang web sites. yeah its better to set up your own computers and have a good tech that can be trusted to set the equipments up.

prospect of internet cafe is not good right now. simple math. P 15 per hour is barely enough to recover investment for pc, set up, licenses, chairs, table, aircon, etc. plus may employee ka pa siguro at your own time and effort. given theres also too much competition, some shops are going as low as P 10 per hour.

plus, unless may jumper ka na, which is bawal, kakainin lang ng meralco ang kita mo. to make it viable, dapat may side business ka like school supplies etc. and maybe snackhouse ka na rin.

pero malabo talaga. pc prices are going down and soon like tv, lahat ng bahay meron na. so, sino pa pupunta ng internet shop? as if thats not bad enough, some local govts are against continued operation of shops kasi nagiging bisyo daw ng mga estudyante. which is probably true. kasi kikita ka lang kung mga internet addict ang kustomers mo.
