Do NOT over-borrow nor finance long-term capital expenditures with bank loans since hardly any business can afford this.

June 28th, 2007 06:24 PM #12Do a research dude.. get help and assistance from people who already have background in that kind of business..
get all the possible risks in the business.. and make a plan how to mitigate or avoid those risks.. like say for example you put up a convenience store, the risk involved there is robbery.. so try all means to avoid getting robbed..

Dont spend more that what you earn. Marami sa mga pinoy kahit hindi entreps di pa dumadating and sweldo or kita ng negosyo sa kaniya eh halos paubos na agad.

June 28th, 2007 08:20 PM #14No matter how small your business is, you should:
1. Study the Industry you're going into.
2. Do Market Research.
3. Make a Business Plan. See if the whole thing is feasible.
People abhor research, because they perceive it a doing surveys, numbers, etc. etc.
Our world is one of uncertainty. Doing research eliminates some of the uncertainties, so you can make better decisions.

June 28th, 2007 08:58 PM #16ingat ka din pala sa mga loyal clients mo na umuutang.. kahit matagal mo na silang clients wag mo sila papautangin na walang guarantee na mababayaran ka..
i had a friend who's parents went bankrupt this way .. nasa rice milling busines sila tapos nagtiwala sa mga loyal buyers, pinautang ng truck truck na bigas.. ayun di nabayaran .. yung friend ko di na sya nakapag aral ng college because of that.. from being well off to poor as rat..
DONT EASILY TRUST PEOPLE! IKA NGA WALANG KAMA KAMAG ANAK, WALANG KAI KAIBIGAN SA NEGOSYO!

pag magpapa-utang ka siguraduhin na matagal ang pinagsamahan nyo and might as well, say goodbye to your money
2 weeks ago, an old friend visited me & my wife. sabi niya nakabuntis daw siya at also the same reason kumbakit natanggal sa trabaho kasi binuntis nya co-worker niya hehehe
now he went to us hoping na matulungan siya to raise money for the placement fee sa Middle East. he gave an amount, I gave an amount na puwede ko ibigay. he was so thankful tapos binanggit niya na wala pa nga siya travel bag. my wife gave him a travel bag na nasa amin pa since X'mas.
sabi niya wag daw ako mag-alala, babayaran daw niya ako in 3 months time. sabi ko no problem basta ayusin mo buhay mo para pag nagkita ulit tayo, may pride ka na.
on that day, halos walang kita sa shop namin. but the next day until Wednesday last week, ang lakas ng shop ko hehehe ngaun back to mahina naman, sabi ko wife ko, nawala na bisa ng charity. hay law of nature I wish I can understand you more ...

I add ko lang mga bossing,
1) Be always on the lookout for change, & embrace it. Kelangan, lagi kang handa sumabay sa mga trends na makaka apekto sa negosyo mo.
2) Always reinvest in your business a good part of your earnings.
3) Always take care of your customers, because if you don't, somebody else will.
4) Marketing, marketing, marketing!
