    another thing...

if you are an employee and only rely on your job as source of income, dont bound yourself to your job's income forever. you might loose your job in an instant, no one knows. indirectly, you are only making your company richer while you're working your a$$ for them. why not work for your ownself or family - business will do this!

make sure that you have your business / sideline while you work. not just another channel for income, but it would help or hire you if no other company will do.

    BE YOUR OWN BOSS!!!

Yung mga ayaw dumanas ng pagkalugi, huwag magnegosyo, period. So many people are afraid to make mistakes in business, they conveniently forget that:

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one. -- Elbert Hubbard

Starting an enterprise, first and foremost, is a gamble, a leap of faith. Business plans, market research, secure finances, knowledge -- these can only do so much to mitigate (not eliminate) the reality of losses.

When I started this thread, the assumption is there is already a negosyo.

The thing is "how do you run it and MINIMIZE the risk of lugi". Kaya nga "makaiwas" ang title.

I hope you did read the earlier post contributed in this thread, para relevant ang future mong maipost.

Therefore, your thread title is misleading since your initial statement is practically wishful thinking.

That said, my contribution would be: improve your communication, one of the things easily taken for granted in business.

Communicate the pros and cons of your products/services properly and honestly to your prospective market; a lot of customer complaints stem from a lack of good communication between provider and client, such as false advertising, overpromise, fine print, etc. When your client is initially unable to understand the message you are trying to convey, it is not the client's fault, so be prepared to elaborate your business with them in terms that they can readily understand.

Be ready to provide alternatives whenever necessary, even to the extent of referring them to another seller/provider elsewhere. This promotes goodwill not only to your client base, but also to others who might be in the same industry as you are. When the situation arises, they will refer their own clients to you in return.

Better communication is also important when dealing with people other than your clients, such as your business partners and, more importantly, your creditors (whenever applicable).

    Relevant enough for you?
