Better option yes. Then decide if you still need the underseat sub. Those subs can produce bass but it gets absorbed by the seat most of the time.

Agrew on this one. Better to just upgrade the stock speakers. Yun ang malaki improvement if ok naman HU. If not pati HU dapat upgraded din para sulit.

tama ka bro. upgrade mo muna stock speakers tapos ipa-dampen o deadening mo front doors then saka ka na mag-add ng subwoofer if nakukulangan ka pa sa bass. you might want to consider also upgrading the headunit for better tuning flexibility. inquire ka sa mga reputable audio shops like mickey's, jc car audio, simplesound, timsaudiogarage and others for better estimates and options sa requirements mo.

Hard to upgrade the HU of the Civic bro - so many controls/settings are built in. Aircon, MID, lights, etc.

I'll read up a bit first on car audio systems before dipping in. May ilang buwan pa naman bago pasko. [emoji23]

Yep, integrated HU units of newer cars is not that easy to be upgraded. Couple that with some which has steering control setup. It is best to consult a reputable audio installer.
