tama yan. if it's a down month, then you'll have to tighten the belt and not spend on luxuries. non-negotiable talaga dapat ang savings/investments.

in my case i just have a % of my income automatically deducted for both pretax and aftertax investments...then my budget is based on the remainder. after you set your budget you won't even notice it being gone....meanwhile dumadami yung pera mo na parang gremlins...

Isa lang masasabi ko, mababa sweldo ko sa family biz , pero libre gas, libre pagkain, libre koryente . Also am doin some webdesigning and programming so thats my extra income. And yup every month I save a portion of my salary in my savings account and have a little invested in the Money Market.

perks yan ILD, ako rin nung nasa family biz ako, libre lahat at mababa din ang pay ko, since humiwalay ako, na maximize at na manage ko ang profit at the same time nagkaroon ako ng identity sa business world.
since akin lahat ng profit mas madaling i portion at the end natuto akong magtipid.

buti pa yung iba dyan malaki ang kinikita at maraming perks. sa akin ang importante I can still provide my family with everything they need. mabigat lang talaga yung monthly amortization ng house namin pero at least may pinupuntahan yung pera namin at nakikita pa. nagbabaon na ako ngayon kasi magastos pag bibili ako ng pagkain. malimit nagko-commute na rin ako para tipid gas (para magamit ko na lang pag weekend trips). Pero I'm giving myself a year at pag walang increase sa income ko, I might go somewhere else na :D

just enough to make ends meet...

on savings naman, ang ginagawa ko kasi is forced savings. a part of my income goes to savings first, then what's left is yun na lang pagkakasyahin.pansin nyo ba..kahit lumalaki ang kita natin, sumasabay din ang gastos. just follow this rule: don't spend more than what u earn..
