July 17th, 2022 03:55 PM #583ako cathey, i buy as much as possible discounted.
my uniqlo shirt = 190 (original price 790)
h&m skinny = less 10% kapalit old clothes
shoes = 70% off. May nadale ako down to 900pesos original. Hindi ako nagsusuot ng peke.
So ayan 2thou na outfit of the day (shirt, jeans, shoes.) Pero target ko kung kayanin sa 1thou all outfit kaso sa sapatos mahirap.
eventually pati kotse pag nagka electric na ako 400pesos full charge = 400kms.
Tapos pag ako nagsuot lalong magmukhang mahal.
cathey sayang pera sa branded pag mukhang binihisan lang more of status symbol. It should be fashionable first.
Look at the majority of politician, mga mukha ba mayaman or karakas lang ni pablo escobar hahaha.
#nabihisan lang

Usage should bring back the old fit. Stitches are assuring. Often, they turn old pairs more durable than from factory....except those w/ obsolescence engineered in.

Next best to stitches is PU sealant. Sika, Bostik or Pioneer + C clamp. Properly prepped & cured, PU would outlast the shoe parts they re-stick together.[emoji16]

July 17th, 2022 05:39 PM #587my suking sapatero does the sewing by hand.
ok naman.
my experience,
if the tahi is a horizontal stitch, i.e., at the sides of the sole (see link above), ok ang resulta. no distortion nor weird feelings.
but if the tahi is a vertical stitch, that is, vertically thru the soles, from the insole to the external sole, there will be some amount of distortion that will probably translate to shrinkage.

You do know that fast fashion is frowned upon na? I am also guilty of buying fast fashion but I also buy other brands that will last longer.
Also why do you think that people buy brands as status symbol? Some buy it for quality
Thanks. I have a brand new Adidas NEVER USED. I bought it in 2019 but since the pandemic happened, I never had the chance to wear it. When I checked it nawala na dikit sa sole

Just store it properly since it is flammable.
