pero sa Pilipinas kahit upper middle class, mahirap pag may nagkasakit ng matindi, maybe not to the point that they have to sell properties but they are financially hit din, just like when my college ex's Dad got sick (kidney), ininda din nila yung gastos. Unless you belong to the 1%, mahirap magkasakit dito.

It's one of the reasons why I would consider moving abroad kasi maayos health care system basta may insurance ka. I think its why my Uncles and Aunties in the US are still very healthy in their 80s kasi lahat ng sakit naa agapan.

Bakit ang daming pera ng mga tao in the past 5 yrs? Ako na lang ata hindi dumadami pera Is it because of internet money? (social media, online sellers, tech work) It's a pandemic but people are spending more?

I found out because I've been using one bag which I bought in 168 for the whole of the pandemic. My Mom said it's so dirty and I look kawawa already. Since my Mom gave me money before I decided to look for a replacement that will last me a long time. What do you know? 3 of 4 brands are mostly out of stock! I did a bit of googling and it's been like that since 2020.

Yeah dami pera tao ngayon.

Just last sunday, lahat ng watch store sa greenbelt may tao. Around 2-3 customers inside already kaya they’re not letting people in, even JLC store may tao.

it's just an illusion, that maraming pera ang tao nowadays.
we just see what we see, kasi.
we do not see the majority.
maraming unbelieveably hard-up. we just do not see them easily, because they do not go to the mall.

the "outness of stock" may not be because there were many buyers.
i think it is because, for a variety of possible reasons, there have not been deliveries to replenish the stocks.

cheap versus expensive.
in my experience, the more expensive usually last longer or look good, longer.

Agree on this one. Yung sa DE class, mas tag-hirap sila ngayon with the prices of almost everything going up. Lalo na basic goods.

Rich people have been spending money on watches, bags, and cars because travel has been limited, and a lot of moneyed folks are bored with WFH setup.

But that’s just a very small (but very overexposed) segment of society.

If you go out on field outside and talk to ordinary folk, karamihan hirap talaga. I know people who’re on the verge of losing homes because of the pandemic. My work is heavily dependent on the buying power of the masa and it’s very evident that purchasing power has crashed.

Yun nakikita ni cathy, yun sa mga vlogs nanaman siguro, wala.naman mahirap sa mgs vloggers eh. But in real life napakahirap ng buhay ngayon.

On the contrary, mahihirap na vloggers nga pinapanood ko, but it does not take long umaasenso agad and then the vlog becomes all about buy buy buy so I lose interest and move on. Yung latest ko pinapanood lala angkas vlogger kakabili lang ng row house, 30k subs lang yan and he credited youtube and lala.

Hindi lang naman vlogs ang observation ko, diba may sumilkat na FB group featured sa KMJS yung home buddies, they share mga home ideas e di puro bili din yun, tapos own experience ko website ng brands bakit puro sold out

My friends umamin din sila laki ng tipid nila sa WFH kasi most of them even moved back sa parents e di wala silang transpo, utility and food spending. So mas dumami nga pera ng mga tao, at least those that are WFH setup.

Saka dito nga sa tsikot wala naman nagrereklamo na nahihirapan, ako lang kasi jobless pero kung may work ako dami ko na siguro naipon because of WFH

Dito sa Tsikot karamihan may kaya eh. Go out and talk to ordinary folks kung mas magaan buhay nila ngayon

Wag na isama ang class cde, mga middle class and up mas mapera ngayon kasi yung savings pa lang sa WFH ang laki laki na. Kahit mga call center workers nga ayaw na bumalik sa office.
