You only need enough money for cremation, you dont want to suffer amid all the money you made. You cant take the money you saved to hell or wherever. I dont mean to say spend unnecessarily but comfortably. If you have a lot of assets left behind after you die, more than likely it becomes the cause of siblings or next of kin fighting over the estate.

I think every parent can't help but make sure that their children are financially secure when they pass away.

Thats a very common filipino tradition, make the kids rely and hope upon the inheritance. And parents likewise rely on their kids "gift.

If you try to get your kids to strive on their own and only help when it is absolutely necessary, they will appreciate their accomplishmnet.

We have a neighbor who is "pensionado", relyi g on padala from the parents in the u.s. physically able but just the batugan type. What happens if the padala ceases?

May kilala ako Chinese couple in their 40s nag migrate sa Canada. Both working. May isang anak. Pero sanay sa ganyan na pensyonado.

Maalwan ang buhay ng pamilya dito sa Pinas. Ayun. Until now, humihingi ng allowance sa parents na nasa Pinas. Di daw enough kinikita nila dun kaya hirap sila parati.

Of course the parents have to teach the children to be self reliant. Hindi naman por que may inheritance ang mga anak automatic batugan na

Iba naman yung adult na nagiintay lang ng pera. Parents making sure that their children are financially secure - that goes beyond the lifetime of the parents. If the parents are old and working to give money to their adult children, mali yun. What I meant was passive income or assets from the parents to be passed on to the children. I think lahat naman ng parent gusto yan para sa anak nila

Going cashless seems to work for me as I can clearly review on my bank statement where my money is going. Before, I would just keep withdrawing money when I see my wallet getting thinner.

It also helps me get around having to carry loose change.

Pag cashless transaction also sakto parati bayad mo up to the last cent. Wala na yung, "sir kulang piso ok lang?" or "sir kendi na lang yung sukli"

This bluecoins app is effective! I don't want to input so it keeps me from spending

It's funny because I wanted to buy Coke Zero so I asked my Mom for P20. My Mom was puzzled as to why I don't have P20. HAHAHAHA! I told her I have money, I just don't want to spend. When she asked what the P20 was for, I said I will buy Coke Zero. My Mom said NO. I wish my Dad were here!!!
