My goal since the past decade has been building sources of passive income. I joined MLMs, burned the midnight oil with 2nd jobs, invested in properties and rentables, etc.

CVT is correct, one day my corporate income will be zero. And i do intend to live past my retirement age. I wont be able to live on savings alone. Have to have some sort of replacement income in the long term.

I also use an app to monitor my expenses and I list down everything up to the last centavo. Hehe

Accdg to it, I saved 77.3% of my income last year [emoji4]

My top expenses are car, personal expenses and food related. Haha

It has useful graphs such as this. (Last year period). I dont have a fixed monthly income thats why it looks like that.

I follow the 80-20 rule. 20% is solid cash while 80% is spread over investments, real and personal properties. Regardless of how much I save, 20% cash is enough to cover any short term needs.

    Brooo,

Let me enlighten you if you don't mind. No! Actually i want to remove the misconception about stocks.

If you are scared, you can buy blue chip stocks and use the dividend play strategy. A good buy right now would be PLDT with ticker TEL.

Current price ata around 1.4k php.

Dividends last year was 68 pesos per share.

So per 1.4k, you get 68 pesos which is about 5%? Too lazy to calculate. That 5% you earned, dividends pa lang yan. Wala pang stock appreciation.

Since p/e of TEL right now is at 11.5, still has room to grow to 15. Which is about 30% more pa in price appreciation. So you earn thru capital gains and dividends.

TL;DR: pldt is a good buy now minimum ROI is at 5%.
