    Interesting topic to..
Ako naman, i just dont put money in my wallet. Simple as that..kasi kapag may nakikita akong pera, ang daling bumili ng mga bagay na di ko naman kailangan.

Before kapag may money sa wallet, sobrang tempting magdrive thru before going home (pasay to qc is a long drive especially with the traffic kaya minsan gugustuhin ko ng treat while driving) but dahil alam ko walang laman wallet ko, titiisin ko nalang hanggan makauwi ako sa bahay then dun ako kakain.

And now, i dont buy things that i dont really need yet.. Hanggang pwede pa magamit, yun muna..

Do you guys consider non liquid assets as savings? Or need it be cash and other liquid instruments?

Depends on the asset type, and appreciation potential of the asset.

I consider land as savings, especially if it's in a highly marketable area where you can dispose it within a few months. I bought a small piece (150sq.m.) in 2013 for PHP 675,000. Today, someone is offering 1.125mn for it (which is pretty much the going price in that area).

If it's a property like a leasable condo or commercial space, i tend to look at it more as a cash flow generating item, while asset appreciation is secondary.

What matters is how you balance your asset risk.

I know of people who have lived frugally and invested in purchasing property (just raw land) in their younger years. When they retired, the proceeds from selling some of the property pretty much covered their requirements.

but ang laki pa rin ng CC monthly, its like meron malaking expenses talga every month...but we different set up from others, my wife's money is hers, I dont care kung saan niya gastusin, i dont asked..siya nagbayad ng sweldo ng ma katulong and groceries cuz I dont want to get involved with that... she earned it, she spend it...

nun november and december I know saan yun extra na malaking gastos dahil dumating cousin ko from US and we have to pay for his stay in Solaire for 10 nights that's roughly p100k+ even with a corporate rate. then dumreteso pa sa boracay and we stayed in discovery 4 nights yun 2 rooms so roughly ganun din plus yun pagkain pa and airfare sa PAL, but I still have around 40-60k unaccounted hinde ko talaga alam saan napunta. last week ko pa iniisip...ah nag Japan pa pala..so hotel din kami...and ang mahal din ng hotel per night sa Japan...thats on top of our montly expenses..
well parehas tyo ng setup...my wife's money is hers, so i have no problems where she spends it, if she wants to help relatives, fine by me, i have also my own money coming from my own sideline, so is hers, our monthly expenses comes from our conjugal active and passive incomes..

But unless its in a hot area ang hirap din i disposed so in the end Kung kailangan mo na you'll not be able to sell it Sa gusto mong price. For me depende kung gaano ka Hot yun investment.

My investments are land, condos , houses and recently crypto currencies. Though the crypto currency keeps me awake at night when i know it shouldnt hehehe.

I have some cash but usually i try to convert it as fast as possible into an asset.

My target is 7 figures a month in rent. Almost there......but need 1 or 2 more rentable properties to get to that point.

It's getting more and more difficult to find property in Manila, but in the province if you immerse yourself well enough you can still catch quietly growing areas.

One should also be careful with investing in multiple properties as this becomes tedious to handle and can also eat into your cash flow if it becomes idle. These should also be properly considered in your estate planning to avoid complications when the time comes. Complications can make the property idle and cost dearly to maintain (dues, overhead, etc.) so best to document these well so they remain a going concern.

Bat di na lang kayo mangutang, ako lahat ng binile ko ng 2015 whether iPhone or mac inutang ko, ngaun almost paid na, lahat naman ng binile ko ng 2017 bagong untangle naman to be paid in 2019.

It so liberating to get what you want now. So that frees my mind of finance computations, so na yun nakapagaral pa ako ng ibang skill sets like martials arts, Arnis, katana. Eh lahat ng kilala ko hindi maka aral kasi takot mawalan ng pera.

God loves sacrifices, hinde ka nya pababayaan if you are engrossed on something even if you won't make the bills at the end of month. Kung magutom ka, God loves it to, eh di mag-corned beef di lata saka spam na lang, pero yun skill sets lifetime na yun. Something that God can put to use for your purpose.

Problema kasi mga Tao ngaun gusto safe and secure muna bago pasok next step
