Oh 249 ba, I don't really remember. Bought mine a year ago. Either prices have changed or I recalled wrong. In any case, sulit pa rin considering how easy it has made it to track my expenses.

I really like the way you recalibrate things and approaches along the way in your expenses and lifestyle bro.

If I were still single,- I can do that,- but my situation is much more complicated with kids to feed, dress and educate.

Just for curiosity bro.,- how much(%) of your take-home pay are you saving? [outside of the one-time big time expenses like family vacation, purchase of property - car, land, house etc]

Benchmark,- in my case,- better than 50%....- I am hitting my personal target.

Agree on this. One day, companies will no longer need our particular set of skills and we’ll be left jobless. Saving up for that worst case scenario is something I’m starting to take seriously.

I’ve started setting budgets for weekday food, weekends, fuel, car maintenance, clothing, etc and tracking each and every expense. This way, I can see how I’m tracking against each itemized budget and adjust accordingly. Strangely, I’ve been getting a sense of accomplishment when I am well under budget for any item in a particular month or week.

Currently, around 75% before the monthly payments for my condo and the one-time spends.

If you include the monthly payments for the condo, it drops to around 35-40% which is below my 50% savings target. Hopefully I get a good raise this year to bring up the savings %.

Pagkasama yung monthlies mga 35-40% nalang. I pay for my utilities but I get free gas so malaking tulong din yun.

Ang mindset ko is to try and live like I earn like the rest of the people my age. Actually pag nakikita ko nga sa IG, mas madalas sila kumain sa mahal, magtravel sa kung saan, and gumimik.

So dapat habang malakas pa ang katawan at kumikita pa, mag ipon at bumili sa assets na nag g-generate ng income

Like property na pwede irent out
