What if I have the cash to pay for it in my bank, but I use my card anyway?

After brunch with my friends last weekend, I realized that there are so much perks from points earned with credit cards.

I rarely use my card except when I'm abroad, but I just realized there's a lot you can save if you use your card on anything that costs the same whether card or cash.

I use my card even when I have cash because 1) I get to keep track of my expenses and 2) the points I get with every purchase. Like Cathy, I just put the same amount I charged in a "CC payment" envelope and always, always pay in full the amount due

I even let my officemates book their flights to and from their provinces using my card -- they wouldn't need to pay over the counter, I get more points (convertible to GCs).

Subscribe to premium cable channels. Di ka na lalabas ng bahay.

When I was working my first job, I would bring a packed lunch and water to work. Even now I always bring a liter of water in the car. So I don't have to buy bottled water. Good for the environment pa. I also try not to eat out as much as possible.

Re: CCs it's ok if you always pay in full each month. Some even offer installment options for the same price. I remember in HK there are stores that even give a discount if you use their affiliated card.

It's good to shop in places that offer discount for cash purchases. That's the only time I use cash.

You don't have water at work? We have free coffee here (Nescafe Vendo and another machine with beans) We also have free tea (Lipton tea bags) I don't drink coffee or tea in the morning, but if I did I'd just take the free drinks at the office than go to SB or CBTL [emoji14]

BPI has free P150 Starbucks for every P3k straight purchase. I don't really drink Starbucks but it's nice to get these freebies Before I got P1k credit na rin for points.

don't pass through the mall on your way to work or home. Too much temptation -- a burger here, a coffee there, it all adds up.

Nagbabaon ako ng fruits and biscuits dito sa office to avoid buying at the canteen and convenience stores. Need to lose some weight anyways

i never throw out extra plastic utensils, tissue, sugar/creamer/ketchup packets etc. , yun ang binabaon ko sa office. It's more about not being wasteful rather than being frugal.

It would be interesting to see, kung maipasa yung sugar tax, kung galante pa rin ba magbigay ng sugat packets yung restos😀
