February 14th, 2018 08:47 AM #52The problem is the deped system, they cannot remove a teacher for negligence of work, may alaga lang sila students para yun ang pang sali nila sa mga competition para mag mukha magaling ang school. Talamak ang leakage ng nasyonal exams to make their school have a high passing grade.
I thought yung plan to increase salary of teachers will be a very good solution but i guess hindi nagawa sa expectation ko.
My daughter joined the local deped competition dito sa province namin.

Brain drain? All the good teachers are now abroad due to very high compensation private and public schools cannot compete except for some with a very high tuition fees. Training and teaching teachers is not a four/five year course they need a lot of experience and patience to become a good teachers.

What happened to PH education? I grew up in the 80s and back then majority of Filipinos had decent English. IIRC, noon time shows were in English format and majority of celebrities were well spoken. Ngayon puro mga sablay na like that Vice Ganda which I abhor.
This video is all over FB with a lot of people finding it funny. I don't see anything funny, in fact, it's disheartening.

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
