A lot of my friends, both here and in the States, have been doing that for over 15 years. They haven't encountered any problems whatsoever. Some even just hand over their DL together with their CC at the register to save time. I guess most stores like the practice since they get additional verification.

Personally I don't do it because I don't like to reveal to strangers where I live but that is just me.

dadgdag info lang, para maging valid ang isang credit card transaction ito ang mga requirement:

1. credit card
2. cardholder
3. signature

kapag wala ang isa pwede ka mag contest...kaya ang daming fraudulent transaction sa internet...

yung ibang card companies may security measure din, kapag medyo malaki ang amount ng transaction or medyo deviated sa usual purchase/history ng cardholder ay nag re-request ng information bago i-approve ang transaction no matter how big your credit limit is...kahit i swipe iyan sa T7 machine dapat di ma-aapprove...imho, partly dapay may kasalanan sa case mo ang store....

Citibank Classic MC - for everything else

i'm also planning to get a Home credit card and Metrobank M Card w/ free lifetime annual fee

I have 3:

BPI Mastercard Gold
BPI Classic Card - a throw-in of BPI Mastercard Gold
EPCI American Express - rarely used.

The annual fees for these cards are waived.
