I am using credit cards for many years now. Nowadays, mas lalong naging convenient ang paggamit nito dahil almost all establishments are honoring it here in the Philippines.
Opens up a lot of opportunities for internet purchases, too....

bata pa ako I'm very much aware of the danger of credit card. yun mga pinsan ko sa states baun sa utang dun. noon nandun ako some years ago, inggit na inggit ako sa kanila, they buy cars, cd's, signature clothes, stereo and eat pizza like there's no tomorrow. lahat charge sa cc. and to think, noon andito sila hindi pa nakatapos ng college or jeepney driver lang.
paguwi ko nga may isang balikbayan box ako ng CD's, players, signature clothes used and bnew, puro ayaw na daw nila hehehe
ngaun balita ko baun sa utang talaga, and they have to work 3 shifts (siguro 5 hours of sleep na lang) just to pay for their luxuries. there's a good thing naman kasi they get what they want kung kelan nila gusto pero yun na ginhawa muna tapos hirap. I dont believe in that philosophy.

nakakatakot nman ung case nila. mahirap kasi tlga ung ginhawa muna tapos hirap. but sometimes you can't blame other people dahil gusto din nman nila maranasan ung luxury, nga lang may mga iba na di kayang i-control ung desires nila.
sarap nman tlga magka card dahil mabibile mo tlga instantly ung gusto mo pero dapat tlga piliting bayaran kahit pakonte-konte.

Ok nga din sya sa bills payment.... you only have to pay a single bill...
ok rin... at least for the first time, ginamit ko sya na wala akong nilabas talagang pera...

isa pang advantage pag good standing ka sa card at wala ka nmang enough points for an annual fee waiver is takutin mong ipapa-cancel mo ung card mo.
but again, gagawin mo lang un kung tlgang alam mong good standing ka (which means, you not only pay on time but you have some purchases na mejo malaking halaga).

like some of you guys, i put almost all of my purchases on my Amex. i usually don't even carry any cash. this almost became a problem for me at the Arby's drive thru the other day when i got all the way to the second window without checking to see if they took the card...
if you get rewards points, travel perks or cash back from your card, then it makes sense for you to put as much stuff on it as possible, as long as you pay if off by the first billing. same as cash yung outlay mo, you can float your payables for about a month, and you get rewards for basically free (if you have a fee-free card).
i've put electronics, hotel stays, and airline tickets on my rewards program. all for using the plastic instead of carrying around a bunch of smelly bills

if you're not financially responsible or lack financial knowledge, then it won't matter whether you have plastic or paper. great powers come with great responsibility- spiderman didn't do too bad either.
for those who travel or planning to internationally, mastercard is mostly accepted worldwide. use visa if they don't accept masterc. although amex charges high fees than usual I still carry one as a backup- 1. in case I locked myself out 2. looks cool when it's transparent. anyway these 3 have diff perks and reward points and you lose plenty if you don't take advantage of it.
Choice I would have made as well.
