haay, natutuwa ako sa case mo. parang nakaka relate din ako! hehe. ako naman sobrang excited dahil 4 months nalang at end of contract na ako dito. Ganun din, gustong gusto ko nang umalis sa present company ko. di na kasi ako masaya at wlang sense of fulfillment. Dito mo na tlga masasabi na IT'S NOT ALWAYS MONEY. importante na masaya ka sa work!
un nga lang, ang challenge after resigning is to get a better job. (kahit before resigning, you can search muna). The thing is wala naman tlgang PERFECT na trabaho, meron at meron problema tlga. Dasal lang na sana ung next job, less ang problema compared sa current.

SInabi mo pa sir! big income twice the income sa manila eh ang babayaran ko tax 10x bigger naman haay IRAS na naman BIR katapat sa manila, il be paying 10,589 sgd so that amounts to 317,670php im only renting, i dont own a car, i take the public transport, para ko alipin dito yet i am paying this kind of tax gosh if in manila il be paying 60-100k a year at most pa yun haaa hehe pag katapos eh nagtaas na naman ang cost ng living dito tax increase again :P nakoo sir ang sarap lang pakingan na ofw ka sa ibang bansa ka nagtratrabaho, dollars ang kinikita, doble nga or even triple pero ang gastos eh 3x 4x din hahah

Yung mga kilala ko kasi na pumunta diyan nasa 4K - 5K level ang mga income nila eh. From that perspective, the 1K/month car (incl. COE) isn't such a bad thing. Eh dito naman sa Pinas kung 1333 SGD equivalent ang pay mo, di ka pa rin naman makakabili ng kotse, right?

From what I've seen typical car amortizations here in the PH are at the 8K (pinakamababa na yun, for a Getz or something) to 15K per month level. That's pesos. So you'd need anywhere from 24K/month net to 45K/month net para ma-approve ng bank. That's like 30K to 60K gross, which is already 1000 SGD to 2000 SGD per month.

And the other poster is right, the law abiders do so because of the massive fines (e.g. 500 SGD for eating on the subway!) but I can live with that. And street children being scooped up... that's how it should be. Even in Jakarta they do that.

Only in Manila will you see an entire family of "taong grasa" right on the pavement in front of DBP and Pacific Star. In the middle of the business district!! and those "buy our flowers or we scratch your car" kids. At least sa Jakarta hinahakot nila to the outlying depressed areas.

those are high paying incomes ;) me for myself im paid xxxx sgd a month thus i earn xxxxxx php a month pero kokonti lang ang swerte na makakuha ng ganun sahod kada bwan dito ang standard na sahod dito is 1100-1600 lang dapat ibabase natin computation ng standard ng buhay sa standard na salary dahil hindi naman araw araw pasko bossing, may time na pwede ka din matangal sa work mo na di mo ninais dba po? hehe wel yes owning a car in manila is difficult of course bago eh pero what if you buy a 2nd hand car ;) i min di naman kailangan bago bilhn mo as long as you can be ferried to your destination heheh anywayz magandang hapon po sir at mga katsikot natin! mabuhay po tayoo lahat and God Bless

Hey guys i need suggestions and inputs from fellow tsikoteers! Actually im an OFW here in Singapore and ive been working for 3 years now my heart says that i want to go back to Manila and start doing business there but seems that i am afraid as well to go back to Manila dahil lang sa economic status natin sa Pinas para kasing 1 year ko dito sa singapore eh parang nagtrabaho ako sa Pinas ng 5 years. anyways you guys got any good suggestion na pwedeng gawing kabuhayan jan sa atin. Hirap ng maging OFW masarap pa din sa Pinas kahit na puro kalokohan gobyerno natin heheh mga tsong saklolo naman! kailangan ko ng advice! im confused, i asked lots of people na pero dami nagsabi parang hirap umuwi sa pinas "wala daw mangyari" eh panu kaya yun Ang hirap!!! Gusto ko sana umuwi ng pinas magbusiness pero ala naman maisip mga Bro tulong naman alam ko marami dito sa tsikot ang mga expert. i need advice. Dami pa akong bigas kakainin im only 25 and parang ang hirap ng buhay..

if you're not happy with your job or your lifestyle in singapore you can try something new by being a businessman here in pinas. maraming bus. opportunities dito. try reading entrepreneur magazines they have lot of bus. opps. available for ofw. kun masaya ka naman doon sa singapore why go home just stick with your job over there. forget what they said about the negative factors in pinas. sipag at tiyaga lang ok na tayo dito sa pilipinas. cheers!
