For those who suggested to take the money, it is not a wise move as the bank will eventually trace the missing money and if they found out that you have withdrawn the amount, they will eventually ask you to pay it back. If you can't pay it back since you bought yourself a nice Camry, they will sue you.

Mistakes made by banks are still common because some transactions are still manually posted into the system.

    just my P1.5M opinion....

There's always a catch in surprises like these and in this case you can't run away with the moolah.

The bank will hunt you down till the ends of the earth hehe.

    Happy Easter everyone!

just got word that an officer from my bank had to come in during the holidays just to fix the problem. I assured them that I did not touch it and they just sent me a text message that everything is ok now and I can now withdraw.

    Thanks for your inputs.

    You did the right thing.

And to those who thought of keeping the moolah:

Taking the money is obviously tempting but what will happen if the bank finds out? They do have your name and bank account number, for crying out loud! Do you really want to spend 20 years or more in prison?

    Tsk. Tsk.
