Having problems Clifford alarms installed on Gen1 CR-V. After a few months the alarm would stop received trasmission from the remote after a few hours. Usually when you use it first thing in the morning or when going home from work. Installed Clifford Concept 100, then replaced with Clifford Arrow 3 (dealer installed). Same problem.
The Clifford Concept 100 was then installed (we installed it ourselves) on a 1997 Lancer with no problems so far. My friend is also having similar problems with his CR-V using a different brand car alarm.
Is there anyone else having the same problems with their alarms on CR-V? Which car alarms get along well with Gen1 CR-V? Or maybe the installer here in Davao does not know how to install properly?

i had avital alarm installed on our gen 1 crv way back 98. no problem so far, with autostart and remote rear window release. the problem i had was the driver side (non - oem) actuator, it was kinda hard to unlock because of the actuator . so i had a switch installed to aid in unlocking.

hi all,
will be getting a RAV4-SV within the week. since 2003 model siya, keyless entry lang. i'm planning to have an alarm installed.
some questions:
1. if i have an alarm installed, void ba ang warranty? if so, warranty for what parts?
2. meron daw available sa toyota makati, Code Alarm na 6,500. ok ba yun? reasonable price?
3. from the posts here, a lot of people recommend clifford, mannix or viper. pero maraming hi-tech features, most of which i don't understand or wouldn't know how to use. i don't want the autorstart feature, i just want an alarm which will keep my car safe. considering this, do i need the high-end kind like the clifford matrix or the mannix or viper 650vx?
3. is it safe to go to shops like autoline or intense? i'm not really a car buff so i don't frequent banawe or the makati shops. how long is the installation process usually?
thanks in advance for your feedback.

2 options na ang binibigay sa akin ng toyota:
1. code alarm - 6,500
2. autopage - 5,500
reasonable price na ba 'to?

may waranty naman pag nagpagawa ka na sa isang shop.. so ok lang din kahit sa labas...
kaso you should find a reputable shop for the job
repair kit lang. car care nut says, for toyotas, he recommends entire assembly replacement for...
rack and pinion repair
