This is the difference of stock halogen vs. Osram Nightbreaker:
Whiter and slightly brighter. It's only noticeable if you compare side by side.
In comparison, this is the difference between stock halogen and HID:
However, all that headlight strength is negated by tint. This is the comparison of HID + medium tint vs halogen + clear tint:
Bottomline: cheapest way to go is get lighter tint and Nightbreaker bulbs.
Best way to go is lighter tint and HID retrofit. If you can't live without the dark tint, at least the HID retrofit is much much stronger than stock halogens.

August 3rd, 2017 06:02 PM #23^i removed my windshield tint na even though it is the lightest at 3M CS35 as stock halogens are really **** at night on heavy downpour, i like driving at night kasi. dunno how i survived going home from Sorsogon at midnight na halos bumabagyo then
sa CS35 kita ka rin sa labas e so having no tint on windshield has no difference. lakasan na lang ang aircon if naiinitan sa tanghali

August 3rd, 2017 06:21 PM #24Salamat sa comparison sir jut703. So tint talaga ang main problem. My lighter tint ba pero ndi ka masyado nkkta sa loob?
Yan nga naeexperience ko sir particlex lalo na pg papuntang probinsya. Bicol din byahe ko. San ka sa sorsogon? So stock headlight ka parin pero walang tint?

I drive just fine with CS20 and LED headlamps on Maharlika highway with the recent heavy downpour. What I couldn't take was CS05 with halogen headlamps - I hated driving at night. Even if I changed to HID but kept the CS05, it would have been undrivable. Tint > lighting when it comes to nighttime visibility, always.
Wala. Closest you can get is magic tint (Vkool K-series, 3M BC) - although you're still visible on some angles.
I used to drive Matnog to Manila before. Vkool K14 tint and Osram Nightbreaker headlamps. No problem with visibility at all, even in the rain. What I don't like about Vkool K-series (and 3M BC, and all other magic tints) is that it's reflective and doesn't look good aesthetically.

This reflective quality makes it more secure from prying eyes imo.

Only if the weather permits. If the sun is at an optimal angle (or if the sun isn't there, you know, like in the evening), you can see through the tint.
Best combination for privacy is 20% VLT tint for the windshield and 5% VLT for the sides.
I've had both setups I've described and can say with certainty that it's very hard to see the inside of my car with the latter.

usually pag sa mga reputable shops di sila nag ka cut ng wires and yung stock harness pa rin ang ginagamit nila so hindi ma void yung warranty mo sa electrical systema basta walang cutting and modification. Ang ma void lang is ang warranty sa headlight assembly. and that is it.
kaya if di ka mg DIY sa reputable shops ka pagawa dahil malinis at less prone ka sa mga faulty electical connections and wirings.
And oh pagka nagka problema ang electrical systems like burnt wire or short circuit void rin warranty kaya make sure your installer ay pulido ang trabaho.
