I have just noticed that every time I press on my brake pedal, the parking brake light turns ON and stays lit by around 5 seconds or only goes away whenever I speed up again.
I haven't checked yet on the parking brake switch for any loose contacts but it made me think twice if the problem is coming from the switch because if I have a loosen contact on the switch it may not go along with the event of stepping on the brake pedal?
BTW I still have this problem on my rotor discs uneven grooves so I might still check it if it goes along with it.

September 21st, 2007 07:28 AM #5Misleading nga yan minsan. In my case, the parking brake indicator will light up when the van was turning, lalo na pag u-turn. So nagtaka ako, bakit naman sya iilaw, hindi ko naman ginagalaw yung handbrake ko? Through these forums, I learned may sensor pala sa brake fluid reservoir and apparently, it uses the same indicator light. Medyo mababa na yung level ng brake fluid ko, so kapag lumiliko, the sensor trips because of the fluid sloshing around.

right most cases ay low fluid level (master cylinder has fluid level sensor). some cases naman is if you have a proportioning valve na may switch ay un-even pressure on both circuits (pressure differrential ng two brake circuits) commonly cause ng leaking brake fluid. but since your rotor is worn i guess it's low on fluid sa master cylinder.

Bro,
Have your braking system checked ASAP. something is wrong with it, be it your master, hydrovac, lines etc. Dangerous to drive with that (error code indicating something is wrong with your braking system).
Affirmative. Aangat nga yun cover sa likod if ilalagay yun OEM rims. Badtrip. Sent from my...
