    Hi guys,

I installed HIR H7 (low) bulbs on my car. But it did not give the result that I wanted.

HIR sa driver side tapos OEM sa passenger side.
Parang sabog yung lights ng HIR...

Mataas yung lights ng HIR tapos parang walang cut-off. I tried adjust the up and down pero wala effect. Yung sa OEM parang may guhit/cut-off.

May mali kaya sa installation ko? Or di lang compatible yung bulb na nakuha ko sa reflector ng headlight ko. Car is Elantra...

If your headlight's stock bulb is halogen, it should remain that way. It was designed for halogen bulbs and not HID. Sabog talaga buga nyan kapag HID ginamit mo maski anong aim. Mas mainam at mas mura pa ang Philips XV or Osram NB plus.

*crazyboy - Elantra MD to. Halogen ang OEM bulbs.

*chickselog - HIR bulbs yung kinabit ko, not HID. As advertised, compatible daw ang HIR with halogen reflectors and should be able to produce 75% more light compared to ordinary halogen bulbs. Kaso mukhang di compatible sa reflector kaya sabog and di maganda output. Sterling H7 HIR bulbs ito...

Osram NBP/Philips XV also offers around 75% light intensity and improved width compared sa stock. My friend uses the XV. No issues sa glare since it is a halogen bulb. Purely plug and play, no need to adjust the aim.

chik: with all due respect, I don't think XV and NB+ will give additional 75% sa output over stock bulbs. Here is an output comparo:

For the HIR bulb (halogen infrared reflecting), for your Elantra, anong type kinabit mo, meaning HB4 ba yan? Anong brand yung binili mo? Philips na lang mfg nyan ngayon if I am not mistaken. Yung GE na reference mo with the 75% increase (design parameter yun) hindi na available yun. Let us know anong details nung kinabit mo para we can comment.

Sterling yung brand na nasa box. H7 bulbs, 55watts, 4300K. Oks naman feedback nung ibang nagkabit ng same bulb brand na ito sa elantra.

single low bulbs lang ito eh. I tried rotating the bulb 180 degrees kaso di kumakagat yung lock. So I guess tama naman position ng pagkakabit ko.
