My new CR-V's lighter fuse is blowing everytime I use the lighter plug. But cell charger's work fine and other 12V gadget's. Is it telling me to quit smoking or there's a short circuit somewhere??

    Thanks.

It may be that you're using an underrated fuse. Please check the recommended current rating for the fuse. It is normally noted in the fuse box cover.

    Better, quit smoking... hehehe

Hindi under rated bro eh. Original fuse pa yung unang bumigay. 15A. Then I bought 15A fuses, trip uli. The 12V outlets are rated 150W max.

Quitting will be an option Tnx

Baka kaya 'shorted' ang iyong cigarette lighter?

Did you try another lighter or tried your CRV's lighter on another car?

Mataas kasi wattage ng cig lighter kesa other gadgets, kaya pag cig lighter lang yung ginamit tsaka nagso-short...

As one poster said, baka better to quit smoking and buy a LED vanity light, tapos yun na lang ang isaksak sa cig lighter plug

You may have a defective lighter, one that draws more current than normal which would explain why the fuse keeps blowing

parang na experience ko na to before. better check the socket itself. yung metal na naka protrude paloob. usually it gets dislocated kaya nagkakaroon ng short circuit.
