mini h1 , mini d2s and other bolt-ons as the name implies are direct bolt-ons to the reflector. no cutting is required. very easy to install.
yes, bulb life will be shorter when powered by 50watts ballast but your ok since you're getting the 5five bulbs.

mga bro pwede magtanong, gusto ko mag try ng g5 binebenta swak naman sa presyo pero gusto ko malaman ang bulb nito kung replaceable, i ask xenonoptics eh sabi specific daw. sabi dito D2S ano ba talaga heheh
yun morimoto h1 ba mas maganda ba compare sa g5. interms of widest beam.
ang mga choice ko kasi limited lang
- g5
- morimoto h1 mini
interesado ako mag upgrade. sana may makasagot mula sa owners experience.

jmpet,
please search the hidp forums for the latest group buy, maybe you'll still catch it and piggyback to get up to 25% off. it applies to stage 3 and up or a similar shop cart. sayang din, 1/4 price off which will go down to ₱9,732 ($225).
mag group buy na lang kayo ng grupo mo. 25 sets minimum itong huling group buy.

most of the mini h1/d2s users at hidp changed to better projectors / OEM projectors after using them for some time. but if youre coming from halogen headlights then the mini's will be a big improvement. if you're planning to use them for a long time , go for OEM parts especially if your daily usage is high. Aftermarket bulbs tend color shift and loose output quite fast.
Maraming Salamat :)
