i experienced the same thing at LTO FTI Taguig this morning, ayaw tanggapin yung CTPL which I bought at cebuana lhuillier (federal phoenix yung insurance company). why would a LTO office decline a valid CTPL during car registration? I smell something fishy about their policy.

Wala namang problema ang LTO FTI sa TPL ko last year that I got for 500 pesos from a bank. I brought the whole policy and kinuha lang nila resibo.

whenever i do my tpl, my insurer says not to register at once, because they still have to enter the sale into the internet.
it seems to me, the lto guys check if the tpl is genuine or not.

whether this lto policy is legitimate or not, i do not know. personally, however, i find it an irritating but necessary precaution, knowing how counterfeit contracts are easy to come by nowadays... imagine what would happen, if there be a vehicular accident, and the third-party victims can not be compensated...

Paps pano ka kumuha ng Mapfre TPL? Balak ko yun na rin kunin since yun din yun existing TPL ko. Alam ko sa Las Piñas ata office nila e.

Sir Mapfre office is located in G/F JJACCIS Building Acacia Avenue, Madrigal Business Park, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa po. Copy lang po ng ORCR yung requirement.

Thanks po. Paano po pala yun date of coverage ng TPL? Balak ko kasi magrenew in advance. From May, magrenew na agad ako by April. Pwede kaya pabago yun coverage date sa policy pag kumuha ako earlier than car registration renewal due date?

my insurance agent usually follows the previous insurance expiration date, po. you just have to show them your old policy. the LTO accepts it naman.

and how does the car get the requisite emission test, if it's a no show..?
....isn't that illegal?

yung akin nga... kinokodakan pa, nang kahit papano ay may katibayan na tinesting nga...

if someone has an explanation, i'd like to hear about it. it's hassle to spend half a day renewing one's LTO registration, even if only once a year.

i'd sooner ask my cousin to register the car, and give him a little something for his efforts.

Any update about TPL from Cebuana lhullier? Wala na bang problema? TIA
