Mukhang mas ok pa ang insurance na BPI/MS when it comes to claiming as total loss. Yung Standard eh nag-issue pa yata ng statement sa news na tutulungan nila yung mga nasalanta ng bagyo tapos ganun lang pala yung gagawin nila sa mga clients nila...

The vehicle is mortgaged so it should have a casa clause, only
HYundai should be repairing it so as not to void the warranty.
According to the owner the vehicle was pulled out of the Hyundai
Casa and serviced by an independent garrage practically voiding the warranty.
This action was not authorized by the owner and to some that will be stealing too.
If you ask the supreme court that will be theft. IMHO it is theft.
I would not agree to that so that is non negotiable, will you agree to that?
That Tucson comes with a 5year warranty and is another form of
financial protection for the owner. And now they lost that too and
not to their doing.
Without the 5 year warranty it is a total loss INMHO.
INMHO if they do decide to sue, they will win in their Theft and AOG cover.
Back to back pa.Last edited by mark_t; January 19th, 2010 at 12:24 AM.

January 19th, 2010 04:42 PM #17Thanks Mark. Funny, you know what Mapfre is now saying, they said they called us daw before they pulled out the unit and brought it Velocity (which they never did and which we would definitely not approve of as all our cars are casa maintained!). Having to deal with MAPFRE has been emotionally tiring for us. I can charge them big time for all the stress they brought us, the least you would have needed from an insurance company there to protect you. If they still will not give it us for total loss, we will see each other in court.

January 20th, 2010 12:28 PM #18guys pangit rin service sa FEDERAL PHOENIX
, di na nga i-declare total loss yung totally submerged car mo babaratin pa yung palit ng parts mo. they do not really care for the safety of their clients, ang mahalaga sa kanila makatipid. balita ko nga madali kausap bpi/ms sa mga nasalanta ondoy. lesson learned. iwasan na natin ang mga walang malasakit na insurance company.

January 24th, 2010 02:42 AM #19Hi. Good day.
Same with People's Insurance with my in-laws Altis 1.6 E, 9-months during Ondoy, fully submerged at Banaue area.
Was and is still being repaired by Toyota Pasong Tamo. Already past 4 months. Not yet completed.
We're insisting on FULL "reimbursement" for the P650,000 coverage from People's. They insisted on the repair. Not 70++% damage raw. Though Toyota Pasong Tamo did gave us a copy attesting the vehicle was a considered as flooded "level A" (roof level), they are not that insistent with People on our safety. (or maybe showing his expertise ??? at repair )
Hope - those of us, with almost similar situation, can do something together, to get a fair treatment from these inconsiderate insurance people.
ALL HELP will be appreciated.

Insurance is a business. Isa sa priority nila ay profit. I thik they will say that the safety is the casa's problem, not theirs.
But is the repair costs more than a brand new car. they will consider replacing.
Yes I think those are standard freebies already. You get more freebies if you opt to get bank...
