    sir *papi smith, sorry had to repost as there's no activity for the past one week. just an update, my car is still unrepaired and no one bothers to touch in sa casa. here's an update:

    this time i directly called and talked to joel's manager, hernan. we had a good chat and he explained other options and what might happen. so cut long story here you go.

    1.) pag-pinrocess nila yung repair without the tranny replaced, sabi nya eh baka magka-issue in the future or after ng replacement so considered as back job and they will have the tranny replaced kaso ang problema. another work and sakit sa ulo na naman

    2.) they are considering the repair of parts PLUS the tranny (100k+ daw) so kung magkanon daw eh parang considered as "constructive total loss" daw. so i asked if i can just trade in my unit, meron daw silang dealership ng hyundai pero sabi ko, ayoko ng ibang unit maliban sa mirage lang. wala daw kasi silang policy na palit unit.

    so parang ang casa di din sure na di maaapektuhan ang tranny ko after ng repair, kaya din nag-aalangan ang insurance kung itutuloy pa ba ang repair or constructive total loss. ang problema naka-mortgage ang sasakyan ko and i paid for almost 2 years na. ok lang sakin ang repair kung kasama palit tranny kaso kung incase na madeclare as total loss, baka ako pa may utang sa bank or sa insurance dahil sa balance ko sa bank. sabi eh, checheck daw nila yung Fair Market Value and may mga depreciation percentage pa daw. so di ko na alam gagawin ko kung ano ba talaga? if there's anyone here who knows the usual process sa ganitong case, please share your thoughts and i would really appreciate it.

    i called and talked to the manager of the supervisor i was initially talking to and had a good chat with him last week (thursday). was advised to call him back tuesday of this week, talked to one of his colleague and was advised that most likely by 2017 na. eh di wow nalang, sabi ko nakatengga ang sasakyan ko since december 03, 2016 and till now, they cannot decide whether to have it repaired or replaced (constructive total loss). waiting for approval and same old alibi na naman na dadalhin sa head office for approval ng total loss. ganito ba talaga kahirap ang process ng claims sa mga insurance naten? or talagang dahil lang sa holiday season at lahat tamad na tamad na. btw, section III - OWN DAMAGE/THEFT, insured amount is 470,700.00 so inaalala ko kung same amount din ba ang i-ooffer in case for cash settlement ang mangyayari. of course first choice namin is to have it repaired kaso based on experience sa insurance na to at sa casa, mukang aabutin ng 3-4 months to and we are paying diligently sa monthly amortization and insurance every month

    Ilang beses na ako nakapagclaim sa Prudential the highest is around 150K plus estimate approve naman. Pero for sure mas mababa diyan yung total na binayaran nila kasi may discount sila sa parts. Depende din siguro sa nature ng claim kaya merong natatagalan. Kapag below 50k wala ng insurance adjuster na tumitingin ng actual sa unit ko based on my experience lang yan.

    Now na more than 5 years na yung unit, wag na sana ulit dumating yung time na need magclaim kasi may depreciation na sa parts hindi na shoulder ng insurance 100%.

    pag brand new lang yung parts may depreciation... usually pag sa casa ka nagpagawa.. pero pag sa accredited shops.. using surplus parts.. walang depreciation..
