By default, the gasoline we pay already has VAT. Say, the price before was 45/L. That's already VAT-inc. Now they're adding 2.65/L VAT-ex as tax, and that 2.65 will also be subject to VAT same as the rest of the P45/L previous price. So the increase becomes P2.97/L.

Dapat talaga walang double taxation bro.,- pero it happens all the time. Like that sa excise tax na idinagdag,- may tax pa ulit sa VAT.

Katulad ng sweldo natin dito,- na tax na ng 32%,- tapos pag ipinambili mo na tax pa ang taxed money ng another 12% for VAT only + other taxes pa on oil products,- so effective tax rate is now minimum of 40% on the money...

    Grabe talaga!

Bummer. My January salary still won't reflect the income tax adjustment because there wasn't enough time after the release of the IRR to implement the changes to our payroll system. [emoji24]

Why? I don't mind it though.

Gaya ni CVT at Vinj, masakit lang kasi isipin na yung tax nating mga middle class ang nagagatasan ng husto tapos wala man lang makitang magandang kapalit. Same old same old service from the gov't. haysss...
