    The prices are a tad bit high, even compared to prevailing/current market values.

    I think those prices are non-negotiable.

    Reminder lang sa mga bibili ng repo cars

    may nakausap akong branch manager ng BPI recently and she strongly advised against purchasing repo cars.. reason is binababoy na raw ng mga owners yung car pag alam nilang rerematahin na.. hindi na nila inaalagaan to kasi wala naman silang pakialam sa resale value..

    so mas ok pa bumili na lang sa fellow tsikoteers.. or sa mga forums na kilala nyo may ari..

    I think that should be one of the reasons that repossesed cars should be priced lower, so that the buyer still have extra budget to have the car repaired/fixed/maintained.

    A thorough inspection should really take place before buying it.

    Ako din dati was thinking of getting a repo'ed 2nd hand luxury sedan rather than a new jap compact pero na-warningan nga ako about previous owners trashing them in inventive and not so obvious manners. I got the new jap compact.

    And no, I don't think the previous owners get anything back ... repo kasi means even refinancing is out of the question. Alam ko hindi ganun kabilis mag-repo dahil the bank gets stuck nga with hard to move stuff pero kung na-repo na, goodbye na yung mga nabayad mo.

    Yun ang sabi sa akin ha.

    Hindi naman lahat ng repo binababoy. May kakilala ko ng narepo ang sasakyan pero binigay naman ng walang aberya. Swerte nakakuha ng unit niya. Parang bago. Madumi nga lang kasi hindi naman nililinis sa warehouse.

    No. Hindi naman ako nagge-generalize. Kaya lang nakakatakot din kasi kung makakuha ka ng trashed unit eh malaking investment na din ang kotse ah.

    Yup, dapat may alam ka sa sasakyan kahit papano before getting repo units. Although, I think that would go for any used car purchase kahit sa may ari mo pa kukunin.
