    emissions-wise, those lowly taxis are way better than most private cars. if i wake up tomorrow and find my car with an LPG kit and matching sticker, ayos lang B)

    siguro if there's a demand from would be car buyers the car manufacturers will surely offer a LPG fed car...

    I think it all boils down to if consumers really want it bad...

    ^^ agree... if theres not enough demand, manufacturers would not even think of mass producing LPG powered cars.

    Pero siyempre pag nakadating sa punto na malaki ang ihihina ng benta nila if they don't provide something, magbabago din ng isip yan. Otherwise, baka mauna na ang Hyundai sa kanila.

    Siyempre if a large portion of the market INSISTS on it, they either follow or die.

    Sa demand side, palagay ko valid naman lahat ng points:

    1. May mga ayaw mag lpg dahil takot sa pagsabog, amoy, etc.;
    2. May ayaw mag lpg dahil madalang ang stations;
    3. May ayaw ng lpg dahil walang tiwala sa quality ng conversion;

    In addition, some are:

    1. Nanghihinayang sa space na kakainin ng tangke;
    2. Natatakot sa conversion cost. Kung konti lang naman ang tinatakbo mo, matagal bawiin ang 60K na conversion cost -- kaya nga taxi ang unang nag lpg kasi sandali lang bawi na;
    3. Unsure sa epekto ng lpg sa resale dahil wala pa masyadong pinapakita kung ang conversion ay makakabuti, walang epekto, o makakasama sa resale value.
    4. Takot na kung dumami na ang gumagamit nito ay tumaas din ang presyo dahil sumasabay din naman ang lpg sa direksyon ng gasolina kundi man sa laki ng pagtaas.

    Unti unti lang mabawasan ang mga kinatatakutang ito. Pero magandang senyales na mabawasan siya.

why don't car manufacturers release a LPG fed car?
