March 18th, 2018 07:12 PM #131blaze user here for my kia picanto..
if i use xcs or petron extra, i here some knocking noise (ticking) when accelerating around 1,800 rpm. only when accelerating and the engine is very hot.
no noise when using blaze.
i noticed that I get more miles from blaze, my 27 Liters (full tank) can go up to 300 kms while on xcs can go around 200 kms
when using blaze, i don't need to step that hard on the accelerator compared when using xcs or xtra unleaded.
xcs also have a pungent smell on morning startup while its almost odorless when using blaze.

March 18th, 2018 08:37 PM #134moi?
never.
but i don't experience pre-ignition nor experienced sluggish engine performance in a looong time.
some post-ers here, have volunteered improved engine performance after using caltex with techron. sabi nila, na-linis daw ng techron yung engine nila.
i caltex, because it is convenient for me (it's in my route).Last edited by dr. d; March 18th, 2018 at 08:40 PM.

My normal daily route includes SLEX, going to work and going back home. When the road opens up, I waste no time flooring that gas pedal. That is why I stated that there is no difference in performance between 95RON and 97RON.
Motor Image did advise me before not to use Blaze 100RON for daily use. The fuel-air mixture might get too rich. Besides, why would I spend more if I get nothing in return?
