The premium part is mostly just having a better additive package and maybe a bit more cetane. That said, it is all relative. In other words, regular Diesel is not bad. Premium is just better. It doesn't matter if it's a jeepney or an Audi, regular vs premium doesn't necessarily matter. Like I said earlier, use the correct EURO standard fuel for the vehicle and you'll be fine.

Don't overthink it or it will just drive you nuts. By the time your choice of regular vs premium fuel comes into play, you've most likely have sold your vehicle.

    ^ok update.

did some quick reading. higher cetane rating which cleans the engine.

ako din naman. twice a year kapag may out of town trip, gumagamit ako ng 97 Octane na gas... baka nga naman nakakalinis ng engine kahit papano.

it will just clean the engine a bit, that's all.
some authors recommend a tankful every 6 months.
it has no significant effect on engine performance or km/li figures, daw.

IIRC the old 4D56 in the L300 and boxtype to 2nd gen Pajero was 21:1
