Saw this morning in Unang Hirit the Philippine Eagle G Car. It is an electric car costing from 140k to 200k... anybody knows the details of this car.

Personally, this car looks like one of those japanese electric kit cars.

Very little info on the web, but there's a bit on it in
http://madyaaspublishing.blogspot.co...1_archive.html, which says:
This electric car has the looks of the Philippine Eagle. This vehicle can run at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour on a public road with four (4) passengers on board at a range of 80 kilometers or 10 round trips between Kalibo-Numancia-Kalibo. It is powered by 4 pieces –12 volts lead acid battery which can be charged with 220 VAC household current. It has a brush high efficiency motor. It is custom designed with all steel chassis, fiber glass body, mag-style wheels and on-board charger.
Seems it's been running in Aklan since 2005 pa.Last edited by dprox; December 3rd, 2007 at 11:26 AM.

Wow! ... this is extremely ideal for makati cbd dwellers! ... around the village ... or pang grocery :-) ... did I hear the price correctly, 200T? ... hehe pwede na din ;-)
With regards to whether you should register it or not... I think it depends, kung golf cart use then no... kung dadaan ng edsa then I think yes and therefore would fall under "Locally Assembled Motor Vehicles (Private Motor Vehicles Only)" category.

Unusual shape of the side windows. Looks a bit small - like a slit. Is there a glass for the side windows?
Why is there an opening at the bottom of the door? Useless. Road dirt / spray will scratch the glass and cover it.
Nice curved body shape.

wow I'm glad this is happening in the philippines pero etong mga entrepreneurs/inventors natin hindi pa marunong ata gumamit ng internet kasi matagal na kong nag se-search sa web about philippine made electric cars.
sana they make their own web site, global age na ngayon hindi po ba?
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
