Ang init men, sa 5 mins lang na patay ang A/C medyo mamumuo na sa noo ko yung pawis( you can actually feel it) lalo na kung naka slong leeve ka tapos tanghaling tapat minsan iiwan ka pa ng gas boy kasi habang pinupuno yung auto mo aattend pa sa iba. Shell ang ganyan kaya I dont go to shell stations.

BTW diba urban legend lang yung pwede sumiklab yung fuel pag naka start yung sasakyan at nagkakarga ng gas..alam ko may thread na dito yun eh.

Its not an urban legend. and it is for safety precaution.
while filling gas hindi mo ba napapansin umaamoy yun gas? it means may vapor in the air. a little bit of spark or even a static energy kaya nga pati usage ng cellphone bawal din kasi everything can cause it to flame.

by the way i salute shell services, most of them accomodating and mahigpit sa pagpatay ng engine.
unlike sa petron medyo hindi service oriented ang mga staff. and the fill-up kahit buhay ang engine mo. tsk tsk.

Yup. But idling wastes fuel. I usually use the fuel break to go get a drink or take a piss.

Personally between the different fuel lineup (ex. Shell Premium, Petron XCS, Caltex Gold, etc.), my philosophy is get the cheapest fuel you can find. I attribute more of the perceived performance gains or decrease of fuel consumption from switching from gas A to gas B as a placebo effect as there are so many variables in play that may affect fuel economy (ex. -1 PSI on the tires). So unless somebody dyno'ed their car to run at 60km/h while simply switching the gas, doon lang ako mapapabilib Which reminds me.. hasn't ANYBODY done this yet? :D

In a way, I'm thinking whether Citibank's Shell 5% rebate is better compared to BPI-Petron + BDO Rewards/SM Advantage points. Any ideas?
i believe sir ndi pwede ang BPI-Petron with BDO rewards , pinaka ok ung citi bank n 5% hehe sa hsbc kasi 3% lang same with petron

napansin ko lang parang naging V8 ang Revo ko nung nag XCS ako,
ewan ko parang lumakas lalo consumption niya,
or baka less liter lang kasi nakakarga compared to Unleaded.?

Sakin sa Caltex Gold lang talaga maayos FC ko sa FD, sa ibang gas bilis talaga maubos.

    Good evening mga sir,

For the past 7 years I've been using Shell Unleaded for my Gas Revo 1.8 efi, not that I prefer this brand and variant or anything, but:
    - A Shell station happens to be accessible to my daily driving route
    - Was advised to stick to a fuel variant and brand as much as possible, pero rare case xtra unleaded kpg desperado na mgkarga

My friend na 2003 Gas Revo user uses Petron XCS, and told me he gets better mileage. Again, I guess not by the brand, but maybe because of the higher octane rating. Curious lng po ako since 93 and 95 are both acceptable to the engine by specs, but by book it says high octane are for high compression engines, is the revo engine classified as one? Will the better mileage worth the extra penny? Is it true that 95 is better for efi engines?

Sorry dami tanong, I'm a newbie in car fuel knowledge, thanks sa advice mga sir!

better siguro sir try it for yourself. Petron XCS user din ako for my '97 Civic VTi A/T. FC ko is 8-10km/L city driving. I tried Petron unleaded before, kaso lumakas FC ko kaya balik ako XCS.
