    Defietly not unheard of, It's just like composting. There are certain land fill sites that run deep large bore pipes down and utilized the methane for a sorce of energy.

    Back in Oklahoma city at one of our landfills, and this thing is a freaking monster, it has big smoke stacks with flames that have been buring as long as I can remember.
