    Here's their website:

    http://www.simplegassolution.com/

    They say it's:
    A Natural, Bio-Degradable Way
To Save 19% Or More Off Your Gas Bill
Double Your Engine Life, and Cut Your Pollution

There's a lot of scams out there. A lot of people want to make a quick buck. There's also the few honest people in the world with original ideas that often get lost in the sea of mis-information. Since 1997 there's been a little company in California called "Ethos Environmental, Inc." Ran completely like a mom and pop operation... the owner sold a gas saver he had personally invented.

His idea was to use 'esters', which are tiny particles inside the formula to separate gasoline molecules and make the gas more effective. He sold these little bottles of transparent liquid. His claim was that it not only worked, it was also 100% natural and bio-degradable. Meaning, it has no alcohol and no petroleum in it, so it was environmentally safe. You would add just an ounce of this liquid to your gas every time you filled up with gas. And the product claimed to do three things:

    1. Naturally lubricate the inside of your engine to increase it's life and reduce wear-and-tear.
    2. Give you a mileage increase of 7% to 19%* by reformulating the gasoline.
    3. Reduce the toxic emissions from your tail-pipe by 30% or more
Can you imagine that the results you got with the product were so solid that their office began to get flooded with testimonials and orders for these little bottles.

Soon they were selling it to trucking and shipping companies by the gallons, and it didn't stop there. It wasn't long until the product was lab tested and approved. As well as being registered with the E.P.A. A major sales corporation (4E Corp) took over and started selling it directly to consumers. It has grown so fast over the past 2 years, it's now a publicly traded company with over 100,000 clients world wide.

Haba pa ng write-up nila...any comments?

It's your basic multi-level marketing scam, And no it does not do what it claims.

Here's a good thread on how the scam works.
    http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?p=2332182

Several Ethos distributors have the following on their website:
CEO Ethos Environmental: Enrique De Vilmorin
Enrique De Vilmorin, PhD Harvard University, Nobel prize nominee for 15 patents regarding clean air and environment . . .
Ethos is greek for Ethics… Enrique De Vilmorin is all about ethical products, ethics in everything he does or touches.
    E.g., http://www.credibilitysells.com/company.htm.
This gives Ethos a severe credibility problem. Nobody named Enrique De Vilmorin is named as an inventor of any issued U.S. patents (since 1976), or is even named as an inventor in any pending published U.S. patent applications. Search for yourself at http://patft1.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/search-adv.htm. Furthermore, the only English language websites I could find that mentioned this person were related to Ethos.
Now if somebody has a PhD from Harvard and was nominated for a Nobel prize (which by itself means nothing because anybody can nominate anybody), you’d think you’d at least find a mention or two of him somewhere on the Internet with reference to some real accomplishment in his life other than his recent work at one company in a field plagued by scammers. My initial read therefore is that you can’t believe anything that Ethos or its distributors say. Does Waver or anybody else want to identify the 15 patents that Mr. De Vilmorin supposedly has obtained, and prove me wrong on at least that point?

    News report on it
    http://www.ketv.com/news/9449313/detail.html

Owned by the same company, Shut down by Texas attoney General for false claims.

You may have seen some Ethos websites using oil company logos in a way to imply that the companies endorse the product.
Here is BP’s reply to a question I asked them about such use of their logo.
“Thank you for your recent email to BP Alternative Energy.
BP does not endorse the products represented on this site and your email
has been forwarded to our trade marks colleagues for their action.
Many thanks for bringing this to our attention.
    Regards,
    BP Alternative Energy”

a primary ingredient is carboxylic acid ester which, in small quantities, is a food additive. http://www.intox.org/databank/documents/chemical/chem796/cie796.htm. The other main ingredient, neopentylpolyol esther, seems to be a synthetic lubricant. http://www.sgms.ch/meeting/2001/kohler.html. I'm not a chemist, so this is outside my field of expertise.

Here it is in a nutshell—and ALL of these claims were either during official company calls or on print on 4-E’s website
    1. Enrique said he was a Harvard PhD, Nobel nominated scientist. FALSE
    2. Enrique said that he was selling $180 million of product annually. FALSE
    3. Enrique said the use of Ethos in Singapore reduced emissions by 16% and in Beijing by 10% so far. FALSE
    4. Enrique said he signed the Kyoto agreement. FALSE
    5. Enrique said he received a major environmental award from the Chinese Government . FALSE
    6. Enrique said the event was covered by ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and FOX. FALSE
    7. Enrique said the Discovery Channel was producing a documentary about Ethos. FALSE
    8. Enrique said all Indy500 cars would use EthosFR in the 2007 race. FALSE
    9. Ethos Environmental lost $6.7 million in the first half of 2007. TRUE
    10. A 2004 court order allows Enrique to sell EthosFR with limitations due to the fact that the basic formula belongs to Omstar. TRUE
    11. Enrique has NEVER done any valid scientific testing of EthosFR. TRUE
    12. The claim of saving 7% to 19% is based on old Omstar tests and NOT on EthosFR TRUE
    13. EEI’s accountants resigned TRUE
    14. Three of the four 4E Original Founders quit due to Enrique’s repeated lies TRUE
    15. Enrique said the US Army is using EthosFR in Iraq FALSE
    16. Enrique has been sued many times by former business partners TRUE
    17. Enrique promised to show 4E Leaders proof he was selling over $100 million a year to China. Instead he presented falsified documents and there was no proof because his actual financials were revealed later in November 2006 which proved his $100 million sales claim to be a LIE. TRUE
Now, if you choose to do business with Ethos based on these facts - then you are free to do so. However, it is important that those who are looking at Ethos for the first time should have all the facts presented to them. (main part of post compliments of siweloel).
There is so much more to this story. The depths that these people have gone to in order to deceive the public is totally outrageous. Anyone wanting the full story should go to money maker group, look under MLM and find the 4-E/Ethos thread and start reading.
