Some info on PNOC-EDC biodiesel called "Cocopower"

While browsing over the 2005 annual report of PNOC-EDC (Energy Dev't Corp.,
kasi may IPO sila ngayon diba), on page 15 of this annual report

I saw this :

Production of this "Cocopower" will trickle down to the grassroots level
under PNOC supervision via PNOC livelihood projects and will utilize
geothermal waste heat for the operation of PNOC's CME plant.

What could be more efficient than this.

Hmmm - 5% blend daw is the optimum level for fuel
efficiency based on what's written on page 15 :

So with PNOC-EDC's ongoing IPO, they plan to sell 6.2 billion PNOC-EDC shares at P3.20 per share so that means they'll have a war chest of some PhP19.84 billion. Although they say that the use of proceeds will be for developing future geothermal fields, among other things, I wonder how much they will earmark for putting up CME production facilities nationwide.

I think PNOC-EDC is getting ready for the implementation of the biofuels law.

There's actually no comparison because they're practically the same thing; Petron's BioActiv is just one of the brand names used to market biodiesel (coco methyl esther or CME). Another example is Envirotek from Flying V.

Using a pharmaceutical analogy, just think of biodiesel/CME as a "generic name" for these two brands. :D

i asked the owner of chemrez where i can get the bioactiv in the makati area ,which is where i work and reside, and he mentioned its being sold in unioil gas station in buendia and petron gas station along pasong tamo extension. i get mine at petron since its nearest to me. php70/500ml.

Is BioDisel truly safe in ALL DIESEL ENGINES? Does anybody here send an e-mail to ISUZU ro Toyota Corp if they have tried and tested the safetiness of Biodiesel in thier diesel engines?
