May 25th, 2006 12:16 PM #802mc55 and bd100: kailanga siguro sagutin ni rowena ito. MC55 is a type designation being used by chemrez. BD100 means 100% pure biodiesel. Last time I talked to Rowena of AMR she said the local type designation for locally sold BD is different from the ones they are exporting abroad but both are pure BD. With regards to actual difference in fuel specs siguro maganda AMR mag explain.
larshell: yung fuel meister is selling a stand alone BD processing unit. Over 200K lang.
Working with 5-7 g/ltr + 7 g/lt base value.

Hi All
altec: Actually, your post came out on page 31 :-D
BioActiv in 225ml and 500ml has a cetane rating of around 70 to 71, while BioActiv MC-55 has a cetane rating of around 69.
225ml and 500ml bottles also have a chemical that will prevent the biodiesel from being affected by the extreme cold exprienced during winter time in other countries.
1L bottles and above, labelled BioActiv MC-55, do not have this chemical since it doesn't go below zero in these parts.
Since there is no "anit-freeze" in BioActiv MC-55, it is a bit cheaper than the BioActiv you get in the 225ml and 500ml bottles.
BioActiv in 225ml and 500ml bottles are targetted for export and personal use while BioActiv MC-55 (1L and above) is targetted for stationary, marine, and fleet diesel use.
While the above statement is the general "division" of the products, there is nothing stopping you from using MC-55 in your rig if you choose to do so ;-)
larshell: Yes, you can purchase a FuelMeister for your personal brewing needs. Let me know if you want to pursue this option and I can help you work something out with the local distributor.
garyq: How's it going? Finally moved to the boondocks already? :-D How goes your homebrewing?
:regards:

May 26th, 2006 10:27 AM #805hard: ok naman. refining my procedures. hindi naman rocket science so pag may free time ginagawa ko. Pag naka kuha ako ng very cheap na diesel pick up I am inclined to go straight VO para isang gawaan lang.

I just want to share this. For almost one year now, I've been using Biodiesel (BioExceed - 1 liter/fulltank) in my Crosswind. I was getting 14.5-16km/Liter -highway and 13.5 - 14.5 - city driving.
