Flying V lang yata ang nagbebenta ng premixed bd dito... mas maganda sana kung kasama yung big 3 fuel station para at least may peace of mind na malinis yung diesel na gagamitin natin..

    Glenn,
Though the price of your 500ml is lower, hanap ko is yung 1 liter eh. I dont have problems naman since readily available naman ito sa Flying V, except na inabutan lang ako ng pagsara ng shop nila kahapon. I'll be refering a friend to your shop. Malapit sha diyan and he's looking for a distributor ng BD. Thanks.

    Altec,
Yes some of the small players are selling BD mix pero some customers like me who are choosy in their diesel fuel and who are quite hesitant in the quality of the diesel fuel that the small players sell, still prefer the fuels of the Big companies.

By the way, my initial BD ratio sa rig ko was at 2% lang and up to now 2% pa rin ang nilalagay ko. Hindi ko sinunod ang 20% mix kasi kaka recalibrate lang ng ride ko ang I am thinking na malinis pa ang fuel lines and theres not much carbon deposits yet para i-flush.

Tama ba ang reasoning ko or should I do the initial 20% blend pa din? Naramdaman ko naman ang improvements kaagad eh. During my L200 days, I used 5% initial blend din ng senbel BD and it worked wonders. Hope you can give me clarity on this matter.

Anyway more power nalang sa BD products and I hope that we reap greater rewards sooner kasi were slowly being swallowed by the high priced and low quality diesel fuels.

These are some important things to consider when using bd in an old car. 1st, the larger the mileage, the bigger is the carbon deposit accumulation in the entire engine system, all the way to your exhaust. 2nd, any observed loose compression means your engine has to work harder than normal, and using bd may exacerbate or make worse the loose compression by removing any carbon deposits that are around seals and gaskets that will create more unwanted oil flow into the combustion chamber. 3rd, with an older car, using bd will flush out these deposits and will quickly clog your fuel filter, thus a loss of power, and an unconscious effort to press on the gas pedal more to achieve the same level of power that you are maintaining.

When my company started using BD and it is extensively reported over at kotse.com in my thread biodiesel fuel economy result, we had several vehicles that experienced lower fuel economy. We eventually had the injection pump calibrated because the injector nozzles were enlarged and spraying more fuel than normal. We theorized that the use of BD cleaned out the deposits around the nozzles and exposed the nozzles' excessive wear and tear. This was also suggested by garyq who supplied me the bd. Some had to undergo engine overhaul for similar problems. After the necessary repair, the fuel economy were back to its expected levels.

yup... hehehe 99 na frontier na 180th km na ang tinakbo... been trying to avoid having my injection pump looked at and calibrated pero mukhang yun na ang may problema eh... thanks mate!

Hi Styx. Again, the concern on recycling the bottles comes up. I think there should be a way for this to work. Recycling supposedly is cheaper than using raw materials, right? How about recovering the used bottles and sell to recycling? That might help with the prod cost.

Pero yung dispenser or biodiesel pump (parang sa kerosene pumps ba?) ideas has some merit ha. Diba yung Fil Oil meron mobile pumps. Baka pwede parang ganun ang style?

But ultimately, pre-blend would be optimal choice for consumers.

Here is a thought for consideration. It is sold in bottles now to introduce the product into the market since the major players are hesitant in embracing the product (hehehe, they have their reasons). Buying in bottles now should spark the demand which can later translate to pre-blended pumps once the big players see the demand ($$$-kaching-kaching-$$$!!!).

If people will buy the bottles from Petron, Petron will see the bottomline in selling preblend.

djerms: wala ako naging problema sa low rpm before ha. Buti ok na ride mo. I.P ba problem? I would suggest using B5-B10 sayo. This is to maintain very good fuel lubricity .

Pre-mix sa pump: this is the ultimate solution kaya lang politika na kalaban coz the big3 will resist this move. Sa EU you can load BD, NatGas or LPG. Galing noh? Sa Munich airport meron pa ngang hydrogen fully automated. Darating rin tayo dyan.

altec: spoken like an expert (by experience) BD user. he.he.he

FYI: to understand BD more I've finished doing my own BD (homebrew) and katulad ni rsnald I am getting more and more knowledge about it. Galing. I will post pix soon. Pls dont misunderstand ok, this is on the side and from time to time I still have leftover stocks from my Senbel carbouys that I sell to friends here sa tsikot. Interesting lang if you know how its done. We can be so much more independent from Mid East oil if we develop this long term like nangyari sa Brazil. You can do BD using KOH and ethanol(from sugarcane)tapos coco oil ang feedstock. Marami tayo lahat nun

hi all, pre-blending in the pumps is ultimately the goal of chemrez. right now rafraf has it right. the big 3 are hesitant and yes it seems like politics has reared its ugly head once more, hopefully in time this plan will come to pass.

Djerm, please don't get me wrong, i replied to your post only to generate more feedback, something we as the distributor really need. Otherwise how can we serve you better diba? i have taken your post as it is and am not taking it personally, i understand the situation so please don't worry.

i have posted the list of gas stations that are selling bioactiv, please check the list on page 33. we are working to make bioactiv available in all petron stations in time for the holy week.

lastly, for now i have discussed the issue of the bottles with chemrez and we are still trying to come up with a solution. but right now one solution is simply to sell the empty bottles to those who buy junk (bote, dyaryo, garapon) to sell to the junk shops. though it is a very crude solution, it is one that can work at this time, please do bear with us on this matter. thanks guys

appreciate your feedbacks and concerns please keep posting

    Gary,
Long time no see na bro. Hindi ka kasi sumasama sa EB ng Isuzu Peeps. Anyway, hope you post more feedbacks on your home brewed BD just to enlighten us users on how it's done. Next fill ko I might go B5.

    Styx,
Thanks again for the info. Nagtanung ako dito sa Petron Bayan-bayanan...meron na nga daw silang BD. Yahoo! Pero may kukuhanin pa akong libre sa Flying V. So far I'm still a contented user pa rin naman and I do promote it to my friends and relatives. Siguro lang we should think of other ways to promote it hindi lang yung maglalagay sa Stations kasi mahirap mapansin eh. Dapat nationwide launching yan sa TV, Radios, etc...

Anyway, thanks again for this wonderful product.
