Will Petron carry BioActiv in its original bottle, or under their own brand/packaging?

Interesting read about bio-fuels etong mga nakaraan araw. Lahat sa STAR.
    1. Ford keen on marketing their flex fuel vehicles (di pa alam kung ethanol(same set up nila sa Brazil or BD).
    2. 3 companies are authorized by DOE/DTI to make BD. Chemrez, Senbel and another company(Rotomac??) According to the report our PNS standard follows international accepted stds for BD and these 3 mfgs meet the stds.
    3. Car assemblers are (CAMPI) considering introducing hybrids or flex fuel cars.

2 & 3 are reports I read sa STAR today

Guess what... today I was able to get 12Km/L on BioActiv (traveled 125.1Km since last full tank and refilled 10.21L this morning). I get 10Km/L without coco-biodiesel and 11Km/L on BioExceed before. Wow!

Saw this on the ABS-CBN News website this morning:

    ABS-CBN News
    Region (as of 3:24 AM)
    ‘Biodiesel will ease Baguio pollution’

BAGUIO CITY - A foreign expert recommended Monday the use of alternative fuel to Baguio motorists and said that reducing the number of vehicles is not a lasting solution to air pollution-stricken cities in the country.

Daniel Moore of the US Agency for International Development said the use of biodiesel would reduce air pollution in urban areas and reduce the health risks caused by car emissions.

Taking a cue from his hometown experience in California, Moore said the number of vehicles doubled or tripled from the seventies to nineties, but air pollution was controlled by the strict enforcement of laws and the use of "better" fuel. He was referring to biodiesel.

He said the proposal to reduce the number of vehicles operating or traversing Baguio would not solve the problem of air pollution.

The Department of Health has reported that exposure to smoke emission of vehicles worsens asthma in children.

"Diesel emissions affect all people, but children are more vulnerable . . . New studies show that air pollution not only exacerbates children’s asthma but may actually cause asthma in . . . children," Myrna Cabotaje, DOH director, said in her report to Councilor Erdolfo Balajadia, chairman of the committee on environment.

Baguio has been the pilot project area of the World Bank-funded Clean Cities Program that aims to cut public spending on health and to push public awareness of alternative fuels.

The Sustainable Energy Development Program, which is implementing the CCP, encourages the use of alternative fuel, or biodiesel, believed to reduce particulate matters in the air by 40 percent to 60 percent. Harley Palangchao

Pareng styx, during my discussion with chemrez top guys, there is a slight cetane difference between the BD100 that is japan standards, with the mc55 that follows phil standards, among which is that bd100 is 70-71 cetane, while mc55 comes out around 69 cetane. Then again, that's still a huge improvement over diesel's 51 cetane, which by the way, among all those certifications that I got from different diesel suppliers, fluctuate from 51-54 cetane.
