Anyway, since reading about this "topic" I've become more interesetd in BD. I just got a diesel car(about 1 year of ownership already) and I have not used BD. Actually I heard of it but did'nt try.
Just a question, when using BD do the dealership or casa acknowledge BD? Will they honor the warranty on your car or will the dealers/owners of BD be responsible if anything happens to your car? I'm interested in the customer support structure for BD. ano yun warranty sa pag-gamit ng BD as what others do like "if X product does not satisfy you we will return your money" or "replace your car" or something hehehe

January 18th, 2006 04:02 PM #543Garyq, no problem bro. Since na mention ko na rin ang problema ko sa BD, eto ang latest : my fuego also encountered the same choking problem as my sedona, same with some other vehicles. But not as bad. But I expected it to have some sediments in the tank, and in the fuel system. But due hectic schedules, never had the chance to send it the car for checkup and fuel tank draining. Until last December, it started to choke more often. And by early January, grabe na. Sent it to Isuzu for 130,000km checkup, but they did a 125,000 check up instead because the mileage was only 127k+. The difference is that at 130,000 it includes the fuel filter. Original casa fuel filter was installed at 120,000km. Casa recommends every 10K replacement. Paglabas sa casa, ok siya, until the next day, bumalik yung sakit. So I sent it to our motorpool and had our chief mechanic look at it, as casa was saying baka injection pump, and I wanted a 2nd opinion. I replaced the casa filter with a Micro fuel filter, and for almost a week, wala na ang problema. I had the filter cut open, and my supervisor told me may nakita na uhog or laway looking substances in the filter, the same uhog that was reported in my thread over at kotse.com. Same uhog that Jaeger mentioned as well.
Correction Gary, di lang ako nagkaproblema. Pati si Jaeger reported seeing the same impurities: uhog, brownish sediments, and some black sand looking stuff. I believe Diesoline as well.
Seems that the Isuzu 4ja1 engine is really matibay, it took it this long before naapektuhan na siya. But again, the bottom line is that these things must not get into your fuel line. So always be sure of the BD that you pour into your fuel tank to be clear of impurities.

January 18th, 2006 04:32 PM #544I still use Senbel Estrol biodiesel on my Everest and Starex but have temporarily stopped using it on my Innova. Despite the impurities I've seen, syempre judgement call na lang yan ng user and just take an intelligent approach to using BD - let the sediments stay at the bottom and just pour in the clear top part. Do not agitate or stir it so the impurities will not mix.
Altec and I have throroughly posted our findings at altecs thread over at kotse.com and I even posted the results of my biodiesel wash test over there with pics. Pls. check out this link : http://www.kotse.com/forums/index.ph...pic=2718&st=80 We got all these BD experimentation ideas from the journeytoforever.org biodiesel site.
Sana we can convince Senbel to do 2-micron pressure filtration before bottling their BD pero I'm sure this extra process will have an impact on the price and bottle it ala Agua Vida para walang contamination. I think I'm asking too much.Last edited by jaeger; January 18th, 2006 at 04:39 PM.

bioexceed
1- rafraf [started with 5% then reduced to 1-2% mix, used in 4d56, improved emission test results from nearly failing (car was only 1yr old) to passing w/ very good results (car was 2yr old!), able to maintain my 11Km/l ( I expect to have deteriorated to 10km/l or less if I haven't used it), engine seems to run smoother imho] -- I will use envirotek, biomax or bioactiv when I get the chance but since sea oil station is very accessible for me, I use bioexceed mostly.

January 26th, 2006 04:45 PM #549Jaeger / Altics,
i'be been following up this thread about BD, and your insights and feedback has convince me to try it out. I'm planning to try it with my Innova, after my 1Tkm PM and the replacement of the fuel pump assy which was the possible culprit with the choking problem i've experienced.
Id like to get tips for you guys on the mixture of BD for the Innova which has just passed the 1Tkm marked. thanks in advance.
