Mainit pala discussion dito. Hope this will clear too soon as I'm using bioexceed too at 1liter per fulltank. Bioexceed as it is the most convenient source (sea oil GMA-edsa station). So far I have not experienced any negative effect from using the product for 3 months now.

I agree Sir, that's what I understood from 2mos of research before finally using BD. Have kids and I don't want them exposed to harmful emissions. Ultimately, this benefits others as well. Our little share of helping clean-up the environment.

i want to hear the side of senbel re. this. if garyq aired his side how come senbel is not? baka naman me pulitika na dito para pataasin ang bilihan ng biodiesel by downgrading senbel. i've talked to the dealer of senbel in g. araneta ave. qc., mentioned that senbel is "run or endorsed" by the gov't. that's why it is much cheaper. me kulay/die lang ang chemrez kaya iba ang price. if the test done by doe was true. hindi kaya fake na senbel yun? i'm requesting senbel to speak up.

it seems that richmnd stirred up a hornets nest here.

i don't think that senbel or chemrez for that matter is going to involve themselves in this issue, from a business standpoint it just doesn't make sense for them to get involved. it is unfortunate that senbel is at the short end of the stick in this issue though.

it is likely that they will consider this as between an enthusiastic dealer of one brand against another dealer. if at all, the most that will happen is that richmnd will be reprimanded by chemrez, business is business after all.

regarding the test made by doe, i am not aware of this. but i was present in one of the forums they held in makati city hall and they tested both brands side by side. though no data was documented, those present were given access to the result of the smoke emmission test that was performed. using 20% blend to purge the system of the vehicles, bioactiv did better in lowering the emission of the vehicle.

I don't know saan ako magrereply regarding biodiesel but decided to do it in this thread. I am one of the former big consumers of senbel through garyq. In fact, for the year 2005, I think I consumed around 100 senbel carboys. Until I had problems with several of our vehicles. Eventually, we narrowed down the possible cause to senbel. This is exhaustively discussed over at kotse.com. I didnt want to take it up here because it wasn't really evidenced beyond reasonable doubt, but only a preponderance of evidence. I didn't update my biodiesel fuel economy result thread in tsikot because I was wary of strong negative reactions by tsikoteers with my adverse experiences. If you want to read about it, punta na lang kayo doon sa kotse.com, sa dieself forum, look for my thread with the same title.

Bottom line is that estrol had consistency issues. Sometimes, their estrol has murky substances which eventually accumulates and possibly causing the fuel line clogging. But as was extensively discussed and coordinated with Garyq, estrol per se is a good and effective biodiesel, except for some batches that had impurities. In fact, Petron reps got a sample of the contaminated fuel and subjected it to heating, cooling, and centrifuge. They showed me a picture of the liquid before and after, talagang solidified na ang sebo like substance, though it separates and coexist with the liquid, but you can see it, parang cotton. For estrol that was clear, however, ok ang performance niya.

Bottom line was that clear biodiesel is good, murky biodiesel should be suspect and not be used. Unfortunately, I got several murky estrols in several batches. I sent samples to Garyq, but Gary admitted that Senbel has not replied to him. I even corresponded via email with Mr. Santos but eventually he did not reply anymore, after he said he will look into the problem.

I still wanted to order Estrol from Gary but Gary was even the one who suggested to buy from others because of very limited supply. So I shifted to bioactiv from AMR starting November last year, and have purchased 24 carboys already, 12 last November, and 12 mid December. We carry around a 5 carboy inventory because we mix 1% cme with every 10,000 liter diesel delivery. With my experience with biodiesel, what's good with bioactiv carboys is that its really 20 liter pails, so we can open the whole top and inspect if the liquid is clear or not, for signs of any impurities, unlike with carboys where we have to pour out the whole contents to inspect prior to actual use. For the info of everyone, our company fleet mostly are now using biodiesel, roughly 60 vehicles, from my fuego, all the way to our prime movers.

Hope this info helps. And I hope I will not be sued for libel for claiming anything of the above!!

By the way, Gary is a very nice person, although I haven't personally met him, but the talks I've had with him on the phone, emails and PMs, and a whole year of doing business already gave me a good impression of him, so anyone who attacks Gary's character doesn't know Gary.

so it's up to us to try and choose which biodiesel produces good result.

altec: thank you very much for sharing your info.

sa course ng pag supply ko ng BD(2 years) yung issue on some impurities sa Estrol came up kay altec lang. Personal experience ko was I had 1 carbouy before na may brown sediments that looked like dumi from the container. Sinala ko and that was it. Yung kay altec was isolated in my opinion coz' after his experience I checked all the CB's na dinadala sa akin and ok naman. I think may isang batch that Senbel delivered that has this dirt. I also coordinated with other users and ok naman yung use nila. To be honest with you I only received this feedback from altec. I told him to share it para we can all benefit from it. How? He just called me (which I appreciate dahil pina-alam niya muna sa akin itong post. Actually told him to post coz' bottomline pag may information, may power to change) and told me that he placed filters and water separators sa water tank niya to make sure walang dumi papasok sa mga vehicles. Unique application ni altec coz he mixes BD sa overhead tank (volume user siya in short). I suggested it to him before to make sure masala lahat ng impurities and to also eliminate any possible dumi that might originate from the fuel tank itself. Ito yung naging magandang result nung exchange of info namin ni altec. He is using bioexceed now and I suggested it to him so that he can also try other brands. As of now ok naman daw yung BD niya. Yung normal na BD user pa-litro litro lang so we can really check the quality of the BD. He did mention also na pag nag-normalize yung situation he will order again Estrol. I sent email messages na to Senbel and I will surely let know of any developments.

FYI. I will stop selling Estrol muna until I get a definite response from Senbel. Ako muna gagamit nung stocks kong natira. altec: thanks for the nice words. A prosperous and blessed new year to you and your family!

I am one of those who have monitored your thread in KOTSE.COM sir altec. I can atest that completo details mo dun, even have pictures of before and after experiments. Sa inyo (kasama si sir jaeger) ko po natutunan na i-inspect yung biodiesel na binibili ko for contaminants - the sebo and the brownish sand-like stuff. Thankfully, sa lahat ng nabibili ko wala akong nakikita na ganun.

btw, last post ngayon dun sa kabila is from a newbie "richmnd".

This is causing the problems in most of the D4D. This is diesel. On the the right, you'll find the asphaltenes which clogged the filter and nozzle. this also causes the problematic carbon deposits in the injector and the pistons. This should be treated.

On the left portion is the dissolve asphaltenes. Magic! According to my source, this was treated by BioActiv.

Now we are getting a clear picture how our Phil. Diesel affects our engine. Hope this help.
