August 28th, 2005 12:46 AM #352The Makati Distributor of Senbel is :
SHARKI'S INC.
Room 2J TAL Bldg.
Dian corner Edison St.
Makati City
Tel. 844-1643 / 819-0793
This is where I get my Senbel Estrol biodiesel - only P66/li. and the 20-li. carbouys go for P1,200.

Is there a law of diminishing returns kaya?, that after some peak blend point or saturation point, the improvements don't get that noticeable anymore?

August 28th, 2005 02:02 PM #354thanks guys... found out na sa JC Care in Makati siya kumukuha. binalikan ko ulit yung link na post ko some time back and found some more likely senbel distributors that I can try... siguro tawag-tawagan ko muna sila kapag lumuwas kami sa Mandaluyong (long distance kasi kung sa Cavite).

I saw this on cableTV while vacationing here in the U.S. (Trucks! on the SPIKE TV NETWORK) and the TV segment showcased a company selling a personal biodiesel production system. Compared to diesel prices at the gas stations they showed how economical it was to use this system on a long term basis. You can see the details of the device here: http://www.biodieselsolutions.com/pr...uelmeister.asp
Do you guys think this would be a good investment for, say a group of diesel enthusiasts to use instead of purchasing biodiesel from the two local producers? I'm just not sure if there would be a readily available source of vegetable oil from the restaurants to be able to produce a regular supply of biodiesel.
Also, I realized that with the rise in oil prices even the American hardcore truck enthusiasts are exploring other ways of minimizing their fuel expenses. We've known about biodiesel in the Philippines for several years now but the Americans are just beginning to appreciate it because of the rising oil prices. The TV segment even showed pure biodiesel being used on a 2001 Dodge full-sized, diesel pickup truck(?) and showing how superior it was to petroleum-based diesel fuel in terms of power and fuel efficiency (they even showed the truck doing a burnout of it's rear tires and how little smoke it emitted). They didn't discuss though what effects pure biodiesel would have on their rubber fuel lines and other such effects previously discussed in this thread.
