Problem is, Chemrez's biodiesel price is almost double that of Senbel's. Sana babaan nila.

July 25th, 2005 12:57 PM #215tried a 20ml biodiesel from seaoil sa canter na truck. nawala ung black smoke kahit i rev ko.. although may konting white smoke padin..
tapos eto.. bali nakaka 3 - 20ml biodiesel nako sa pajero.. mausok padin pero nabawasan.. mawawala kaya ng tuluyan ung usok ng pajero ko? although na feel ko ung hatak nadagdagan..
BTW, this morning lang, biodiesel was featured sa ABS-CBN dun sa show nila julius babao.. sabi dun biodiesel is just a few cents higher than the diesel but in the long run, mas makakatipid ka sa biodiesel because of fuel efficiency.

"But diesel technology was not to be left out; the Chrysler Group managed to harness the potential of diesel power by introducing the first diesel-powered, mid-sized sport-utility vehicle in the United States, the Jeep Liberty CRD. Diesel is a key technology available today that can dramatically reduce petroleum use as diesels are 30 percent more fuel-efficient than gasoline engines and emit 20 percent less carbon dioxide. The Chrysler Group is taking the environmental and energy security benefits further by encouraging the use of renewable biodiesel fuel. Biodiesel is produced in the US and reduces emissions of particulate matter, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. Every Jeep Liberty CRD is fueled with B5 (diesel fuel blended with five percent biodiesel) before it leaves the factory. Chrysler Group is working with industry, government and standards organizations to improve quality standards for B20 so it can be recommended for use in diesel products. By the end of May, the Chrysler Group had produced 6,000 Jeep Liberty CRD vehicles for the U.S. market. Dealers have only a 23-day supply of this model, which is far better than the industry average."

Phase #2 will be completed in two to three years after the construction of Phase #1.
The possibilities of Chemrez's "Bioactiv" coco-biodiesel are highly optimistic and this should greatly reduce our importation of diesel fuel (which is at 6.6 BILLION LITERS PER YEAR)

July 26th, 2005 02:25 PM #219At B1(1% bd) studies have shown a great decrease in the scar marks of cylinder walls on engines using bd. So you dont need 20% to get something out of it. Sa B5 I reduced my emissions by more than 50% sa Trooper ko before. Pina emission test ko before and after. I would advice people who are thinking of using BD to read all the docs sa biodiesel.org. 90% of your questions will be answered in that site
